Speed test Desktop vs laptop

Why would my "down" be faster on my laptop?

Did you check obvious things like connection quality between each one and the internet? Or better yet run a PCA-TTCP LAN test between them?

Wired? Wireless? Distance to the router/access point? Signal quality? Are they both running the same OS?

You didn't run them at the same time, did you....?

Nope, they were both on but ran one and then the other.

Clear your cache before you run any speed test, then run it 3 times and take the average.
