I see these 2 have restarted building their mega-mega-mansion after their finances took a big hit during the recession. Poor babies. :P

Heard about that, but still may be sold to outstanding creditors......let's wait to see if he has real money, and not assets on paper.
My whole point in posting this piece, and similar over the past few months is simple: People like to bray about Obama, Democrats, whoever, triggering some quaint notion called, "Class Warfare". Those savvy to such matters, and anyone else who looks critically at it knows the truth: The Class War(and I'd call it more of a 'redefinition of responsibility to the Greater Society) was fought in the 80s and 90s, one side clearly prevailed, and for over a decade you can watch the victors enjoy the spoils.........

Class warfare as in democrats manipulating the lower income voters into hating the other side by ill-defining them through demagoguery is a campaign that is still raging.

What ever you think ended may have but "class warfare" in the sense I just outlined certainly hasn't.

funny that some folks that 'think' they are on one side of the war, aren't, never were, nor will they ever be.......

You are too full of yourself to consider there is more than one way to use a phrase.

Yes, the rich got richer and did so waging what you imply is a 'war on the lower classes' during the time period you cite.

But you referenced people recently complaining of Obama and Co. waging a 'class warfare' campaign....well that is a different use of the phrase...and no less appropriate.

In this case, turning one class, as they define them, against another class they also defined to cause enmity so ultimately, as a result of this 'war' Obama and Co. can reap political power as the reward for their posing as the champions of the lower class.

So go ahead and feel smug in your grandfathers estate as you enjoy rubbing my nose in the fact that I'll never have the kind of clout to wage the kind of war that created the wealth you inherited. I get the insult....I've learned to speak a little pompous ass over the years.
And I'll remain aware, in spite of being born into relative squalor, that even you great Lords are dumb as a stump often enough to provide us with amusement most days.

And when exactly will we see the Republicans nominate a candidate who wasn't born with the silver spoon you apparently despise but not really because wow look at who you continuously argue in defense of there is no-one who is not noticing this continual and bankable ideological correlation btw?

Your party's dead bro, hell even Spidey has moved on.
blarg i'm drunk cheers

You are mistaken on many points. I don't have any animus for anyone just for being born into wealth.
I despise people born into wealth who's natural inclination is to flaunt it like proof of superiority and think the life experiences their inheritance provided them makes them qualified to represent the lower classes.

And if you truly had paid attention you would know I don't often defend republicans and I don't vote for them and I do my best to convince people to abandon both sides of the one-party-disguised-as-two every election.

You are falling into the trap of associating my attacks on the left as automatic support for the right. The president and Senate are democrats so of course my targets are mostly democrats right now.
I agree with some of the positions vocalized by both parties (slightly more of the right than left) and disagree with most of the actuall deeds of both parties.

oh sure, if we re-define "right now" to mean the past, oh, 10-15 years plus? Basically the entire time i've been reading your posts, iirc you've been doing nothing but parroting official right-wing talking points - oh but denying it of course.
But yeah i guess it's possible that before that (10-15 yrs) you might have had a target other than that which your outlets directed you at (everything that challenges the Republican party). (hahaha this is sarcasm!)

But yeah, truth have it it's been a while since i cared to track such things, i don't know you too well. Back in my profiling days i was curious about the human condition, but i've been jaded, thesedays it's more a question of "do i even care to be (re)introduced to such types?". (This paragraph was actually meant in no personal offense, lolwut).

"right now" wow.
no.
wow.

no.

try ALWAYS

ok to be honest America's fucked up 2 party system does give me some confusion when it comes to where one's ideological commitments lay, this black/white system can be a bit of a clusterfuck for my relativistic (neigh, anti-absolutist) mind to wrap itself around.

Roid, my core positions on what our government should and shouldn't do has been consistent over many many years.
During the years Obama has been in power I have spoken out about him. I haven't spoken out about whatever republican didn't get in power and isn't affecting policy.

You can spin that anyway you want.

If you honestly look back at my commentary over the years you will find I don't go along with some of the keystone rightwinger agenda.....immigration, gay rights, corporate welfare, race relations, war on drugs, etc.
My position on those issues may not agree with the democrat solution either though because they are just as wrong on those issues as the republicans....
And I am not shy about trying to persuade people to vote for a third party, any third party, the 'communists for a better beer party' is fine just don't enable the status quo is my position.

You are wrong and I welcome you to offer any substance to counter that charge but pure opinion with nothing to back it up doesn't standout as proof of anything.

iirc i kindof left the DBB after Obama got into power (i was so sick of the irrational vitriol pukefest, which has become business as usual since, and the world did rejoice, or maybe we just puke a lot now).

No, i was mostly here under the BUSH(jr) years, i recall you from those years.
Infact iirc i came here juuuuust before Sept 11 2001, quite a shocking introduction to omg-nuke-everything-else American psyche.
*pukes some more, ok it's just for effect now*

As much as I hate to say it, roid needs to be cut some slack, because he only visits here once in a while.

Now pretend you didn’t hear that.
