I've been thing about using Truecrypt for a couple of years but I'm always concerned that my important sensitive stuff would get locked up and I couldn't get to it even though I knew the password.
You guys use it?

I do. No problems here, and if I ever accidentally lock myself out, I have an external backup.

External backup that's not encrypted?

Gotcha! Just bought a G-Drive from Costco that I can backup to and then give the Truecrypt a try. I know you can also encrypt a file, a folder or the whole drive.
Time to play.
