FTL is my favorite game.

its fun still cant beat it

I always get attached to my crew and my setup, so losing a good ship and crew is hard to watch.

I read the reviews and watched a youtube video on it...terrific idea for a game, and seems a good one for my weak little net book when I'm traveling.

It's a really, really good game!

It's extremely addictive, and also very, VERY hard, lol.
I already got to the last sector and the final boss ship, and couldn't be able to win, but it was a very fun experience nonetheless.

ReadyMan, I'm running this game on a Dell Mini10v netbook, which is my only computer. Not that it matters, but I'm using Lubuntu 13.04; FTL runs native in Linux. FTL didn't work until I made it run full screen, after editing the config file, making fullscreen=true.


I feel like FTL could be converted to a table top strategy board game, complete with plastic pieces, dice, and cards. I would play that.

Any news on what the team is working on now?
This game could be so awesome with a bit better graphics and of course more content.

just needs an easy button from time to time lol

If you still feel it too hard, sometimes is just enough by using the 'Disable Rebel Pursuit' mod, without sacrificing the difficulty on everything else.

That way you can explore all beacons you want (and can, depending on fuel) without worrying about the rebels invading them.

Nice to play for just 15 minutes if that's all you have.
This is a MUST have game if you dont have it already.

Very hard, but you can watch a few videos in the guide section that make things a bit easier.
Boarding helps with getting more scrap.

Boarding? Interesting, I never have used teleporters for anything. I'll have to try that next round.

Teleporting is the key to the game (if you can survive long enough).
I've beaten the mothership twice (on easy). Trying to unlock the various ships now.

Too bad the game is only 8 systems....wonder if they'll expand it?

Just died to another flag ship... I got reaaaly close this time, however.

finally beat it last night.

pulse lasers are your friends I also just focus on the cap ships shields

Use lvl 1 cloak vs the boss, especially in waves 2 and 3 when he attacks with the "power surge".
Also, take out all but one of the missile batteries, but leave one (if you take out the last guy, the AI takes over).
Firebombs are good for the first aid room, followed by away teams beaming over.
