Well with open enrollment in the air how has the ACA affected you?

With me it seems I actually get to keep my coverage and my doctors. I had only a $15 dollars per month increase. This may only be a may because I'm in the UAW and not paying for my own insurance fully. I also fall into the Cadillac category with means more taxes for me in 2018. So Did I come out alright maybe not.

OH and let's keep this about yourself not headlines of others.

different provider(right now on tail end of coverage from job I retired from): current cost $1723 per month. ACA cost $1450 per month, slight increase in deductable, slight drop in SOME copays. I opt for a platinum plan, covering two people in our late 50's, both with pre-existing conditions. Two years ago, I couldn't have gotten any policy without a HUGE deductable, no matter how much I wished to pay, and it would have had a benefit cap on top of it.
I am not eligible for subsidy of any sort.

Hasn't affected me yet. My current plan is still cheaper than one from the exchange, but with a higher deductible. I don't know how long that will last though. I'll see...........

We are ending up with roughly the very same increase as Cuda, but there is the option to go outside the school system. I wonder if we would qualify for any of those subsidies that Woodchip got? I guess I got some reading to do.

Cuda, who's your carrier? I've Providence. We don't pay quite that much but then again, the company I work for picks up a chunk as well.

One thing you all may want to check on is something call "cost sharing". I think it is part of the AHC and comes into play if you make some income.
