Bah humbug

I had chips and pop and only 10 kids came by.

3 groups game. ~9 kids. I think the low number have more to do with this falling on a school/work night; bad night for kids and parents. Next year it falls on a Friday.

I think we had over 100 here, though it's always pretty busy.

Well, nobody works or goes to school where you live.

Last time I checked they do...but since when does making the rounds at 7 PM interfere with either? I mean I went to Catholic school growing up, so we always had off the day after Halloween either way, but all of my public school friends were out in force too, no matter what the night. It takes a real sad-sack parent to use school as an excuse to not take their kids out.

Look at over-protective parents these days. They're not wrong to be over protective, with the world the way it is, but I suspect kids don't go out alone as much as they used to. Maybe you live in a safer neighborhood with actual sidewalks.

I live in a development, so yeah, we have sidewalks and driveways and decent-sized yards and such.

I live in the poorest city in the country, so yeah...

Yea, poured down rain here nobody came.
