....but, I've found it both fascinating and hilarious. Remember, this guy is the mayor of the 4th largest city in North America:

What keeps this story from being completely humorous, is that this fellow has been anti-drug, and doesn't think government should waste money on treatment for drug users. In other words, another right-wing type saying, "do as I say, not as I do". Or, in short, a flaming hypocrite.
the other day, he admitted that he smoked crack,"in one of my drunken stupors".....implying that such stupors are routine. In another sound bite, he vowed to "stop getting hammered". Nice.

Well, he's fat and he snorts crack. Kind of a deadly combo for a potential cardiac case don't you think? He'll be dead soon and we won't have to listen about him anymore.

It piqued my interest mainly because it's not the sort of thing I expected out of a Canadian mayor, of all places.

"Recreational drugs" ensnare all kinds of fools- and we all have to pay for it indirectly if not directly in terms of violence, crime and the murder of innocents here and in other countries.

I think this guy has more of a severe alcohol issue that made the crack-smoking possible.
