Has this ever happened to you?

Post by Flabby Chick »

I'm constantly singing at work, and today was no exception. For some reason though the song that my scatterbrain had picked wouldn't leave me alone and i couldn't, for the life of me remember who it was and what it was called.

Now i start work at five in the morning, finish around four in the afternoon then do a few checks in the fields from six till seven. (i'm a tad busy as you can see) And this bleeding song wouldn't get out of my head, all day i was singing it. Anyway at seven this evening i cracked open a beer, took my paper outside to the pergular and turned on the radio (somthing i rarely do... the radio not the beer ;) )

The DJ said and now we have Hymn by Barklay James Harvest.....well i nearly wet me knickers. You know that shiver up the spine kind of feeling, the power of the song itself lent to some sort of spooky atmosphere. If you don't know it, have a listen, it's a cracker.

....ok i'm off to have another beer now. :)

LOL ...um... nope!

But that is kinda creepy. The real question is: Were you able to shake the song outta your head when it was finished on the radio??? or is that what the other gbeer is for? ;)

I'm actually playing it on the 12 string at the mo, dead easy, so no, it's still in me head. The other beer is for getting ready for the next one.

What's worse is when you get one stuck in your head and can only remember one phrase or bar. Happens to me all the time. Figured it just came with the Alzheimers.:D

Maybe not as weird as your story, but I had something similar happen today. I got that old New Order song ("I used to think that the day would never end" etc... can't remember the title) in my head somehow even though I haven't heard it in at least a year. Then I went to the gym and they were playing it there. Does that count?
