Seems Senate head cheese Harry I'm a ass Reid has stated all those people who say they have horror stories because of Obamacare:

"“Despite all that good news, there’s plenty of horror stories being told. All are untrue, but they’re being told all over America.”

Yup, there you have it. Everyone is a liar. This from the same guy who said Romney never paid taxes for 10 years and committed numerous felonies. People are beginning to wonder if Reid is having mental problems and should be pulled from his position of leadership.

haven't read ONE yet that wasn't either:
1. A flagrant lie
2. The dilemma caused by consumer hardheadedness('I'm not using those Obamacare exchanges, ever!!) or stupidity(didn't read the contract)
3. Insurance companies using the ACA to excuse their greedy behavior(the bulk of them)

Not a single one, and I must have slogged through about 50 dozen of these 'horror stories' by now. Oh, and yes, I do look into the details of them.

Kind of a dichotomy in your two statements. So the people are responsible for losing their insurance because the insurance companies are using Obamacare to cancel their plans? I guess you better clarify a bit better because it appears you are obfuscating.

The laws of probability say that there has to be some kind of negative outcomes with a program that large.

The NewsHour ran several very balanced programs on people who were both positively and negatively impacted by the ACA.

The NewsHour does a pretty good job when it comes to fair and balanced journalism.

In my opinion there are too many people who live in a world of denial, and who deal in absolutes.

let me try and clear it up for you. Nothing about the ACA ever claimed to take complete control over insurers actions(yes, there are restraints, but not full control). In fact, many of us Progressives view that as a major shortcoming, allowing insurers to continue playing games with people's health. Sadly, since the GOP blocked putting a public option into the bill, that is reality. Thus, insurers(and some corporate HR depts) use the ACA as an excuse, or smokescreen, for cutting corners in their coverage, or taking coverage away altogether.

Slick, the Gop blocked nothing as they could not input anything into the bill. Oh and if I were you I wouldn't proclaim your Progressive affiliations too loudly. Just look up how the American Communist Party co-opted the Progressive wing of the Democratic party. Whenever I hear the word "Progressive" I think "Communist. Are you a card carrying communist slick or just ignorant?

um, yes they did. They specifically threatened to filibuster any attempt to put a public option into the bill, and, at the time, had just enough Senate votes to do so.

methinks I'm not the ignorant one. I've been involved with Progressive politics for over 30 years, so I suspect I know a bit more about the reality than you do. That story is a pantload of BS, sold to stupid people who call themselves 'conservative'. It's not true. Progressives in the US do include some on the extreme left('card carrying communists', in your quaint, outdated wording), and a lot of moderates, like myself, who wish to see the nation keep moving forward towards the goals of social and economic justice. Now, at Progressive get-togethers, I tend to be on the right of the spectrum, but FAR prefer the lofty goals and ambitions of my fellow Progressives to the negativity, hatred, ignorance and insensitivity that has become the so-called Conservative viewpoint.

so, to make myself clear, I am quite proud to consider myself Progressive.

that's called being inclusive. We don't witchhunt people out. Unlike the so-called Conservative movement, it's not about purity, it's about ideals and ideas. Why can't someone who believes in Communism(I know none, actually, who believe that true old-school Communism/collectivism is a functional model, by the way), or any other philosophy participate in the discussion? This isn't the disgraceful McCarthy era, Woody. We don't ban folks for how they think. Is that your idea of America? Hell, the nation was founded by, for the times, what were radical leftists. Thank goodness for them, and all the forward-thinking Americans who came in their wake. As I said earlier, the current batch of 'conservatives' offer nothing but negatives, hatred, bigotry and ignorance. Those are the recipes for national disaster, and more and more people are awaking to that, and rejecting them.

as for Bill De Blasio, I've never met the man(that I can remember), but he seems to be a weak mayor. I sort of liked Bloomberg, myself, and felt that the potential NYC field this time was horrible. Then again, I don't live there, so not my concern. really. Why do you care?
