Katawa Revisited

Nearly a year ago I posted about the visual novel Katawa-Shoujo. After being completely weirded out by it and some of its content (which is mild by most accounts after doing some research) I found myself being drawn back to it another time. About half way through I realized that what I found remarkable about this "game" (or however you want to classify it) was the music. I just ran across this blog post by one of the composers that takes a look at his work back then.

You can read it here: http://sebastienskaf.com/2014/01/20/kat ... ospective/

If you have ever lied to yourself that you couldn't do something because you were not qualified (except for maybe creating space magic or some such) read through this. It describes how someone with some enthusiasm stepped out of his area of expertise and created something amazing.

You can download the music for free from the 4Leaf website HERE.

Cheers.

PS. The story in the VN is actually very good. There is a bit of sex in the 3 act (iirc) but the story is about dealing with our own insecurities.

Oh, and here is a youtube of all the cutscenes (all safe for work):
