Big government can take your freedom just as quick as give it, let’s not forget that.
As far as what Jim DeMint was saying…I can see the flaw in his reasoning…but I can also see some truth to it as well, if you consider the government as a tool of the people, doing the will of the people.
But I am in no way making excuses for what he said, just my own thoughts.
