Also as silly as your traditional zombie apocalypse is, an actual pandemic or large-scale disaster would require a similar emergency response, so playing around with the concept does have practical applications.

In other words it really is money well spent- because it is really training for widespread civil unrest and/or chaos in the wake of something like say...the collapse of the dollar, breakdown of basic food distribution infrastructure or even revolution.

I know, I just found the shorthand description hilarious.

I wonder if they wanted to paint the bomb pink for identification purposes? Heaven forbid if they accidentally dropped it on our own troops.
