It is curious in this day and age that a new era of pogroms is brewing. While the incidents are using the Palestinian/Israel conflict as the excuse, the real reason is a racist hatred of Jews in particular. Lets first look at some incidents:
Even in historically tolerant Italy, anti-Semitic smears have appeared on the streets of Rome. Jewish shop windows in several neighborhoods were defaced this week with swastikas and tags reading “Torch the synagogues” and “Jews your end is near. When calls for Jews to be gassed, burned and murdered are bawled on the streets of Germany, that no longer has anything to do with Israel’s politics and Gaza.
For example, in September 2013, two male students at a Williamson County Middle School stood at the front of my car, giving me a “Heil Hitler” salute in response to a “Defend and Protect America and Israel” bumper sticker on my vehicle. it was discovered that the students were from the nearby Ravenwood High School. Despite identification of the students from viewing the school’s security camera tape, no action has been taken to address this incident. To date, my request regarding disciplinary action continues to go unanswered by Ravenwood’s principal.
Curious, if a group of whites were yelling anti-black epithets what do you think would happen? For the third time in eight days, Boston police were forced to intervene when a small group of student Israel supporters was swarmed by demonstrators screaming anti-Semitic epithets and initiating physical contact, said students involved in the incident.
This is perhaps the most disturbing of all. Where are children learning to be racist anti-Semites? Lets see the school officials are looking for guidance yet if white kids were spouting black racism chants would the same officials be looking for guidance? Why do so many turn a blind eye when discrimination of Jews happens? Is there a certain undertow that cultural racism against Jews is OK because there is a long history of anti-semitism? Where do you stand on the matter? *Note this is a thread on Judaism and not on Israel.Bedford school officials are reaching out to community groups for guidance as they cope with a recent series of anti-Semitic incidents involving elementary schoolchildren.
The incidents, which included a game called “Jail the Jews,’’ took place at two elementary schools and came a few months after police say swastikas and hateful graffiti were found at Bedford High School and one of the elementary schools.
