So I'm looking for a good wireless mouse.

I don't want the Razor ones. To expensive. I've looked at the Logitech MX performance Mouse and I like it but I've read a lot of reviews that say the battery life is 5 days +/1 a day or two.

I'm wondering what everyone is using in terms of wireless mice.

Please remember I have big hands so small mice are out of the question.

I've used a Logitech MX 1000 which I later traded for a MX Revolution, and also a G7 wireless mouse (for gaming). The G7 had the shortest battery life which was only a couple days of heavy (FPS) use, but it came with two batteries that you could swap from the base station in a few seconds and charged in a couple hours so the battery was basically never an issue. The MX 1000 and MX Revolution lasted 2-4 weeks on a charge before you would have to dock them on the base station to recharge (and they would also charge in a couple hours). If you keep an eye on the battery indicators you should never run out of power at an inconvenient time, but I'd say the G7 was the best for all that because it had hot swappable batteries.

I eventually dropped them all for a G500 (corded, G700 is the cordless version), less because the batteries were annoying and more because I simply wanted a better and lighter mouse and the G500 meets all those demands. The G700 would work pretty well as a single cordless mouse because if the battery goes dead in it, you can just plug it in and it functions as a corded mouse while its charging.

I personally have a Sidewinder X8, and have had really good experience with it. It's a bit 'bulky', but I have big hands / short fingers, so it fits my hand quite well. My only complaint is that the scroll-wheel tension is too high, so I tend to use other controls.

Can't tell you much about battery life, since I usually just pop it back on the cable (it's a play-and-charge wire, with plenty of length for my desk) when I'm done using it, so it's never run out on me.

I have that G700 actually. It's generally a good mouse and has lasted... apparently now past 2 years, no significant issues - I thought I had the scroll wheel "button" go iffy on response but it doesn't seem to have been an issue recently... might be getting it mixed up with my much older mouse at work (which is a different model).

Only complaint I remember at first was that the cord is thicker than usual for a mouse cord, and feels a little bulky as a result. I got used to it, though, and... if you go cordless most of the time it isn't even an issue.

I should note that the reason I have the mouse in the first place is that I wanted multiple thumb buttons (without going completely crazy like the Razer Naga and similar designs). Mostly for RPGs and similarly button-spammy games. Shooters and other action games typically don't require it, and there may be good cheaper alternatives for those.

Anyone ever use the Logitech G602?

The only thing I'm worried about is all the buttons on the side. might hit them by accident.

My Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000 has been working for four years. The only problem - flew rubber rim on the scroll.

Looking at some other photos from the web, it appears that there is a lot of space below the buttons for a sort of "thumb-rest". I imagine there shouldn't be too many problems with this... though am not sure whether it's as easy to limit button presses to the ones you actually want to press. I usually check out reviews on Newegg and Amazon for stuff like that though

I'll be checking it out in person tonight. I'll post which one I decide to buy. Thanks for all the input.

I bought the Logitech G602 last night and so far I like it. The thumb buttons are a bit weird. The bottom row is cool but the one above are harder to press. It will just take time to get used to. Feels right in my hand.

Congratulations on your new purchase! Although I can hardly imagine how you can manage such a large number of buttons on the mouse. However, in general, Logiteh is reliable. In any case, it will be an interesting experience. The main thing is to be comfortable and reliable. Well, in the end, the mouse is not a wife, a mouse, you can always be exchanged for another.

Sigma, I agree, I doubt I'll ever use all the buttons but they are mapped to the F keys by default.
