Perhaps young people receive a good salary, but employers do not want to show it officially for the tax authorities. Employees simply get two salaries - one officially and the other in envelopes.

would require a massive conspiracy that would be impossible to manage. The average citizen here doesn't know how to launder money, in most cases.

By the way, in Russia there are people's good expression - "We do not steal from the state, we will compensate that the government has stolen from us."

I hear the same rationale here in the 'first world' all the time, people offer to pay me cash in exchange for a better price citing the government taking too much in tax.

I ask them if they are asking me to lie on my taxes and give them the money I lied about....why would I?

“gotta be a macho man
gotta be a macho man…”

Come to America and spew some of the crap you do here on this forum, and see what happens….oh no wait…we have freedom of speech.

In Russian religious principles differ from the American thirst for money. The Russian nation - a nation of high spirituality and culture. That is why you are still alive. We are very patient people, because we live in adverse weather conditions, we were able to stand in several wars on our territory. We know what is bad. And we do not want to make it bad for other people in other countries. Even for Americans. I think you do not want to know what will happen if Russia will act macho and American methods. You must pray every day that Russia remains a country with Christian moral values. Although I must say that Russia is becoming more and more Muslim. That's when America will no longer need to play games with Russia. Then the Americans have nothing more to worry about. It would be a disaster for the United States and Europe. I hope this does not happen. Unfortunately, USA today too arrogant and mindless to pull a bear by the tail.

As you know, the eye is the mirror of the soul. When I see the look of American actors in the film, or the eyes of leading news programs - this is the sad spectacle that you can imagine. I see the fear in their eyes, if they lose their jobs, I see their frustration in moral values, I see that they have to be actors in life and not be themselves. In short, I do not understand people in the West have a soul or is it just frightened robots?

I have a certificate of completion of rehabilitation in a hospital for the mentally ill!
In fact, we have in Russia is considered to be a blatant hypocrisy and lack of respect for the other person, if your counterpart is always hamming face and gestures and plays the actor, as is customary in the United States. Maybe that's why you do not understand what I meant.

So basically you're saying that making a negative comment about your country leads to physical violence? Pretty much proves my point then.

Yes, you can tell from the events at Ferguson that we have advanced beyond petty violence in our country...

This is not a criticism, but an insult. The expression "third world countries" and "rogue states" were invented by American politicians. From these expressions is the stench of imperialism, slavery, racism and fascism.
Most likely, you will not be beaten for such phrases, although it is possible. But since, as you say it, you can consider yourself a leper in Russia.
