Rep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.) was called out on live television by CNN host Ashleigh Banfield on Monday after the Democrat claimed anti-police protesters in New York City never chanted for “dead cops” — even though demonstrators were recently caught on video clearly chanting for dead police officers.
“There are people who are marching through the streets calling for dead cops in New York,” Banfield said.
“They are not,” Rangel shot back, seemingly confident he was right on the issue.
We’ve got the video,” the CNN host added. “It’s heartbreaking to see people marching through the streets of New York saying, ‘What do we want? Dead cops. When do we want it? Now.’ And they said it over and over again.”
“It’s tragic to think that this is acceptable,” she continued. “For them it was.”
Rangel quickly changed his tune, telling Banfield that it’s not “acceptable” to chant for dead cops. He also argued there are “crazy people” involved in all movements and they should be condemned.
A career criminal and certifiable nutjob kills two officers, and somehow people who spoke up about possibly-questionable police tactics are to blame? Give me a ★■◆●ing break woody. Weren't you just the one deriding people for milking a tragedy?woodchip wrote:Sharpton is back tracking now but his racial verbal pandemics are out of the bag, the result of which are the deaths of these 2 cops. please, show us where I did, or be presumed the same liar as always. Will Robinson wrote:The people calling for the death of cops, as well as the ones killing cops, are of no standing thus we shouldn't be talking about them because we are racists if we do.
That's what slick said anyway...
Lol, you are so predictable. Just like Rangel. You just proclaim something never happened in spite of the evidence and in this case it was you who said it and you still blatantly deny it happened.callmeslick wrote:please, show us where I did, or be presumed the same liar as always. Will Robinson wrote:The people calling for the death of cops, as well as the ones killing cops, are of no standing thus we shouldn't be talking about them because we are racists if we do.

For the record, while I can see a lot of anger, resentment and frustration as justified, there is NEVER a justification for killing others.
As we have now seen in NYC these people who you say are of no consequence are of a great deal of consequence.callmeslick wrote:what person of any consequence was involved with your link. You lie, and then choose random, angry people to make your feeble case.
How am I milking it? Unlike Rev Al I make not a dime off of what I post. As to your comment about people who spoke up. I'm not criticizing those who legitimately questioned police tactics. I hold to blame those who fomented violence against police. Obviously this is what legitimized the "nut jobs" rational to kill cops.Top Gun wrote:A career criminal and certifiable nutjob kills two officers, and somehow people who spoke up about possibly-questionable police tactics are to blame?
