Even though I'm an OSU Beaver graduate, I'm going to be rooting for the Ducks in the national championship. It's about time a Pacific state college football team has made it to the national stage! They sure stomped all over Florida yesterday. I'm liking this new college championship experiment the BCS is going with this year. It's much more entertaining when ONE TEAM can be called national champs and not have to settle for second best in some obscure bowl game. Can't wait to watch the upcoming championship game.

A weird coincidence is resulting from who won the Sugar Bowl. Since Ohio State won against Alabama, Oregon will be playing against OSU, who just happens to have the same letters as Oregon State University, their local rivals.

For once, I'll be rootin' for the Ducks. I won't watch the game though. It seems whenever I watch the OSU Beavers, they start losing. I seem to be a jinx, so I won't do it to the Ducks and I'll cross my fingers instead.

Nope, the curse also has a near field effect, which pretty much takes up the entire city of Corvallis.

Robert Reich, the economist, just made a funny comment this morning. It was after a segment about the Ducks verses the Buccaneers and who everyone thought would win the championship. Reich chimed in by saying something like it was going to be the Buccaneers because their coach got paid $4.2 million and the Ducks coach got paid $2 million and we all know that since you're paid what you're worth, the bigger salaried coach must have the better team and that team will naturally be the one to win. Now I'm definitely rooting for the Ducks.

All I have to say is.

$@%#! All I did was tune in for ten minutes during the last part of the 4th quarter and I swear the Ducks promptly got 4 or 5 penalties right in a row, several for false starts. They looked like amateurs. OSU didn't even get called for roughing up poor old Mariota during that one last sack either. That's all it took for the curse to work.
