[Thread split] Concessions in international relations

The problem is that the US has never and no one wants to compromise. Most countries have repeatedly made concessions to the United States. It has only one result - Americans perceive concessions to them as their personal victory, not an expression of good will on the part of other countries. Finally look in the mirror and say to yourself, "to change the world for the better, I have to start with yourself. "

sigma, not one word of the above has the least pertinence to the topic. Lay off the troll routine, it gets boring.

I believe that this issue is directly related to the problem of international terrorism. You are wrong, create a separate topic.

How exactly is it related?

In my opinion one of the fundamental reasons for creating and increasing the activity of terrorist organizations is the fact that the West is always acting methods of coercion rather than dialogue. That is, the inability to compromise, considering the interests of the partners. For example, if Russia could force the West to respect themselves by peaceful means, the Islamic countries do not have such power, and so they are constantly faced with the arbitrariness of the US in their countries. They simply have no other choice but to use terrorism as a lever of influence on the West.
In the West, there is a bad tradition of announcing the terrorists are not specific extremist organizations or people, and entire countries, peoples and religions! Naturally, this causes an uproar of people and even quite peaceful citizens will support the terrorists that compel respect for themselves and their opinions. Therefore, the establishment of healthy international relations between countries is directly related to the fight against terrorism, in my opinion.
Trust and understanding between different countries and religions can not be created language of pressure, threats, and ignoring the views.

sigma, you're getting repetitive on slamming the West. Time to look inward to your own country. Russia has a few dirty hands in the terrorism department. You had terrorists who masqueraded as
revolutionaries like
Mikhail Bakunin and
Sergey Nechayev. Then there was the
Red Terror. Messy, messy. Russia wasn't a good place to be if someone had decided you need purging during that period. You've also got your modern Islamist problems from Chechnya and Dagestan. Better start looking at your own terrorists, because ours are the same as yours and terror knows no borders.

You are right that today Islamic terrorists-revolutionaries who resent about the dominance of the West, form the revolutionary movement against the West, is really very similar to Russian revolutionaries that created a revolution against the Tsarist regime in the beginning of the last century in Russia. Practically identical conditions for maturing of the revolution ...

This is one of the first things you have said, that I can agree with for the most part, but the only worm in the pudding is the fact that so much of the violence done by Muslim terrorists is against their own kind.

Threat of Islamic terrorism[edit]
Further information: Islamist terrorism and Islamism
Islamic terrorism is considered a major threat to the security of the nation[9] with most terrorist activity taking place in Chechnya and Dagestan. Since October 2007, the Caucasus Emirate has withdrawn its nationalist goals of creating a sovereign state in Chechnya. It has since fully adopted the Islamic fundamentalist ideology of Salafist-takfiri jihadism [10] whose enemies not only include Russia and its citizens, but all non-Muslims, including the local Sufi population, and foreign countries such as the United States, France, United Kingdom, and Israel.[citation needed] They have made numerous references in their speeches that they have declared war on "anyone who wages war against Muslims." The Russian government has banned seventeen terrorist organizations; the Highest Military Majlisul Shura of the United Forces of the Mujahedeen of the Caucasus, the Congress of the Peoples of Ichkeria and Daghestan, Al Qaeda, Asbat an-Ansar, Egyptian Islamic Jihad, Al-Jamaa al-Islami, Jamaat-e-Islami, Muslim Brotherhood, Hizb ut-Tahrir, Lashkar-e-Toiba, Taliban, Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan, Society of Social Reforms (Jamiat al-Islah al-Ijtimai), Society of the Revival of Islamic Heritage (Jamiat Ihya at-Turaz al-Islami), al-Haramain Foundation, Junj ash-Sham (Army of the Great Syria), and the Islamic Jihad - jamaat of the mujahedeen.[11]
Many Muslims and human rights activists have criticized the government's counter-terrorism operations, saying they unfairly target Muslims.[12]
Seems that the west doesnt have the Monopoly on Islamic hatred

Just for the sake of curiosity I read what say jihadists themselves at one of their sites. If the site is blocked in the United States, as well as in Russia, I think you will find a way to get access to it. It's quite interesting to get an idea of thinking jihadists from jihadists...
