basically, this one guy put the lie to virtually every economic point the right has put forth.

Won't be long before he's drummed out of the Republican Party. Oh wait, he's a Democrat!

My gut feeling says there is probably another side to this story you won’t hear on Huffpost.
Hint…search North Dakota, Minnesota and oil.

nice try, but as the oil workers jobs have dried up this year, Minnesota saw a 2% drop in unemployment from last year, when the oil jobs were at peak.
Also, that may speak to the minimum wage boost, but does it speak to a 7 billion dollar swing in state coffers? Kind of a stretch, and at best, the improvement would not have been seen under Pawlenty's policies.

Please connect the dots for me between the state’s coffers and private sector jobs.
The new minimum wage hasn’t been in effect for long enough to have that kind of impact.
And NO the oil jobs have not dried up.

Lots of people are either moving away from Ft. McMurray or are transitioning to other industries because the oil sands industry took a huge hit. Even the people who are taking oil-related trades are starting to rethink their decisions.

I see.
Just don't get regional performance confused with global performance.

When a Dem is in office anything good happening is because of the Dem being there right then.... when anything bad is in effect it's not the Dems fault because it takes time for the bad stuff to materialize....
slicks magical cause and effect rules.
Too bad they don't really work that way because clearly the Dems have been in power for a long run in a lot of places that need some magic right now!
