Hardly....the ultimate irony is that the award he received was named after a guy who died due to lifelong alcohol abuse.

Yea, hang the guy for speaking the truth.

More Huffpost garbage.

So I just had to click on the “what do racists and gun owners have in common” link.

And that had to be the most stupid “study” I have ever heard…you might as well have said that racists are more likely to drive Fords…lol…your mind must be a scary place.

No I don’t want to hijack this thread or change the subject…just saying Huffpost has absolutely no credibility. So that probably goes for anybody that reads that rag.

Blaming STI on "hippies" and "beatnicks" is both hilarious and reeks of 1950's attitudes.

He wasn't blaming hippies for the STD's he was blaming the hippy movement in this country for helping to "spread" them.

And it did.

sure, 50 years ago, when the Hippie Movement was functional. That ended by 1972. Hunter Thompson pegged the high watermark as a bit earlier.

The aftermath of that cultural movement is still with us.

lotsa luck finding that........I've heard people referred to as such, generally from the right-wing loonisphere, but none ever came close to the real deal.

Aftermath of a movement in no way implies that there are members of that exact movement around anymore, but you just keep trying that ploy…gotta work for you one day.

slick, did you actually poll middle America? Or is this another false premise of yours so you can then belittle 'middle America' for this alleged belief you have attributed to them? Do you feel powerful when you do this kind of thing?

uh.. yeah he was.

and no it hasn't.

seriously spidey, that's the same line of logic that parents used on us to blame music and videogames for bad behaviours. remember that?

Ok, no problem...I guess we can also deny all of the positive things that also came from that movement.
