I don’t think this is a really big deal, but I’m sure every chance to make it one will be made.

That’s NOT what I meant, all I’m saying is if someone decides they don’t want to go to some particular “event” who cares…seems like the only people who care, are the ones looking to make someone look bad.

Uhhh...because they don't let you wear the big pointy white hood on the plane anymore?

(Since that is really the only response you are going to embrace I figured I would save everyone the time and get your party started early...)

So the party that gave us multitudes of new homeless people now wants to find a quick and dirty solution to the problem they created. Typical. Find a cheap solution, not a good solution.

I see. Although there is something to be said of keeping up appearances. It's a popularity thing.

Lets see. Another GOP is bad thread started by slick forgetting to pass the civil rights bill, 80% of Rep. voted for it to only 60% of Dems. Yet somehow today it's the Reps who are racist and the Dems are not.

amazing the change over 50 years, huh, Woody? Now the GOP is the party of choice for bigots and idiots. You act as if this stuff were static.

why is making an observation a dodge? Just because the Democratic Party of 1960 was full of bigots, and in 1980 they left to become Republicans doesn't mean we make observations on a 50 year old reality. This is now, and for some bizarre reason, the GOP seems willing to dismiss any possibility of bringing blacks or Hispanics into the fold. Their loss, over time, and likely a fatal one.

I'm just going to throw this out here...

Come next election, either the republicans will lose to the democrats in a landslide, or if they somehow manage to win; it will be a very slim margin.

I'd be surprised if the margins are very wide either way, both parties suck and everyone knows it, you can't get a landslide out of a mud puddle.

in the current American political scene, a 52-48% victory is a landslide.

when the vision is small enough, any tilt becomes a landslide.
