SO. Oregon Lan Signups

Ok here we go!
Lan Date is August 27th,28th,29th.
Please send your signup to Rover or Klasher (addys are in my last post).
The cut off for attendance is 20 peeps,so far we have Me,Rover,Klasher,Stoned,Q-man and TO_L8.so 15 chairs are available (admission is 15 dollars a piece payable as you walk through the door).

The usual Lan guidelines are in effect, such as no speakers!!!!! bring your driver disks as well as any games you would like to play(never know who else might have it).Again D3,Halo and even some diablo 2 is what we have so far.

Dinner supplied friday and saturday,Still hashing out lunch plans but you're on your own for breakfast.

I will be sending out motel info as well as directions after I get the sign ups.
as an option you could bring a tent and camp at Rovers or my place if you so choose, Q and L8 have taken the bedrooms already (wimpy dutch peeps anyway lol)

Gonz has graciously loaned us a server machine as well as the switch and also threw in some Cat 5 left over from the last lan we had.

Gonna be a sweet weekend!

@Lothar: need to workout transport details w/ya so can determin if need to ask for day off, or can do full shift(9-17.5, get home@1800)

Rover tells me he's working on a lego crane to put my car up on the shelf. That will be much appreciated. Just make sure you don't put it next to the toaster, or we might lose track of it...

For those who decide to camp in the yard, will there be showers available? (I'm not likely to camp in the yard, but others might be.)

VonVulcan, it's near Central Point, OR. On mapquest, it's Central point - Jackson. It's on I-5 just north of the California border. I'll be driving from Seattle, and picking up fusion in Portland.

If ya read back up the thread, Lothar had goodheartedly messed with Ferno and He was replying in kind.
I do know that you are religous and do not buy into the secular way people talk and act, but the thing is, Just because people may throw curse words around and not act the way you believe doesnt mean they are not good peeps.
Just remember, this isnt a religous based board nor is D3 a religous based game(the folks at my old church would b aghast to know religous people played such a secular game as D3), You will see things you don't agree with here as well in everyday life.
As far as I see ferno hasnt done anything many of us wouldnt do in the same situation.
Hope you dont take this as dumping on you or your beliefs, but in the same way I hope you don't expect everyone to hold your beliefs as the only answer.

It is with a heavy heart that I must announce that I will be unable to attend this lan nor will I be involved with any further planning for it.
I leave you in the capable hands of Klasher (prebprice at yahoo dot com) and Rover (loosenuts5 at yahoo dot com).
I am sure that they will throw you all one hell of a lan Both are good peeps and aim to please.

VV and Rush you are in, unfortuanately TO_L8 and I are both unable to make it. That leaves 7 open seats! Get em while theyre hot!

I wonder if I could pull some strings and get that weekend off... it's about an 11 hour drive (unless I go with the flow/speed a bit) and 180 bux round trip for gas.

Anyone in the So.cal area going? I'll split fuel cost and share a tent. (provided by me)doesn't matter to me who drives, I wanna LAN!

i am considering going. I just got back from a road trip to oregon and it really didn't take that long to drive. There's plenty of great hiking around too, and I have a friend I can visit after the LAN in Eugene and do some music recording.

Tom, if there was even a smidge of a chance that I'd go, I would. but it's not possible because i just can't get the time off work. my hands are tied.

Tho I'm not sure why you didn't talk to me about it in chat. I was there, and yet you said nothing. I could also be a huge a-hole and really piss you off to the point where you would be screaming at me, but i choose not to because I think you're a good guy. You can handle adult language, can't ya? Look for all the motel/lan location info to be posted within the week.

I'm sooo looking forward to this as it will be a very nice distraction from my show season
