nice lie there slick. He just uses the executive memorandum, and they have the same power as an "executive order" and unlike an EO you dont need to back it up with a law.

Lol!
What grates on me is word games used in an attempt to hide something. And it obvious slick feels a need to do a lot of hiding.

bottom line is that Obama governs in the SAME way, essentially, as every President since Nixon. Hence, the whining about his 'actions', by any means, gets on my nerves at this point.

The content of his actions, like any other President, dictate the volume of dissent.
He told you he was going to 'reform this great country'.
Did you think it wouldn't cause aggravation?
You are like a private in his army complaining about the noise his war has caused. So suck it up and put your helmet on, you are the one with the grating whine.

so then why post an EASILY provable lie to make your point.
edit: and you're changing your stance
again. it is OBVIOUS that you were trying to make the point that Obama DOESN'T govern like everyone else, hence the OP which says that he uses the EO less that previous republican presidents.

actually, you are incorrect, CUDA. My point isn't that Obama is somehow superior in this respect, simply that he isn't doing anything in any real way different than his 5 predecessors. Welcome to the modern American Presidency. So, stop the whines, which have been constant for 6 years plus.

actually, a savvy reader wouldn't read those numbers in the meme that way at all. Simply that using hundreds of exec orders during a 2 term presidency is sort of the norm, and that Obama isn't some sort of dictator. What triggered me to go look for this one was recently reading on this forum, for what seems the hundredth time, that Obama rules by fiat, as no President ever has, or some such insinuation. It gets old. Really old.

but again that is NOT what you posted.
Truman and Carter were FAR worse then Obama, but your post was a distortion of the Facts. you implied that he used the EO less than Reagan and Bush. while "technically" true, the reality of the subject shows otherwise. the reality is that he has used his executive privilege more than they did. in fact he's used the EO/Momorandum power more then any republican President with the exception of Ford. the Reality of it shows that Democratic presidents have a history of using the EO/Memorandum consistently more than Republican presidents.

what we have here is the false perception of preconceived notions. Your reading of the above from that meme is akin to taking a Rorsach Test of sorts, and it displays your strongly held convictions, not the simple reality of a very simple juxtaposition(a sign about 'dictators' and proof of the fact that we always elect a dictator every 4 to 8 years, or that the sign waver is a clueless moron). You turn it into relative party claims, failure to cite back to Truman, etc, etc, etc, thereby displaying the lack of acceptance of anything that would DARE challenge a whole host of convictions, even to the point of pre-emptive whining on your part. May be time to step back and wonder why.....

I made no mistake, and will not admit much past the fact that you insert your own hate fantasies around so-called
'liberals' to cloud your perceptions.

I don't see how slick got caught in anything. He has made his point perfectly clear regarding the executive order nonsense several times in this thread and others. The mindless nitpicking and ridiculous exaggeration of everything the president does has reduced any credibility the right-leaning side of the country has. It's insanity.

and WHY I'd have to repeat the point of this thread several times astounds me, but, as I noted, it becomes a matter of folks transposing their own ideological priorities onto a very simple observation.

Yeah, I have to agree with Slick. I've seen other versions of this executive order gripe by right wingers, especially the tea party nutcases and it's definitely disingenuous and NOT warranted. Nothing but false hyperbole.
Aaaaaaaaaaaand, here's another example of how far stupidity goes with these right wing crazies. Fox News broadcast this little gem showing tea partiers taking a
patriotic stand against the commie Chinese Flag being flown at the Washington State capital, when it was nothing more than common practice. The governor always flies the flag of any visiting foreign dignitary, in this case, the Chinese Ambassador, who was there for a trade meeting. To make matters worse, Fox News
claimed that those brave men
made those state officials take down the flag, when in reality, it was time to remove it anyway because the Chinese Ambassador had left the state. In fact, the worker taking down the flag requested the presence of that State Police officer so that he could do his job without being accosted by these nutcases. Nothing but propaganda on Fox News' part. Bird brains.

Chinese Flag being flown at the Washington State capital,
well since it happens to be a violation of federal law to do so.

There hasn’t been one president during my lifetime that hasn’t had to deal with the nitpicking.
You really needed me to spell that out?

no it wasn't. It was flown a notch below the US flag, per protocol. And, that is ALL there is, protocol. No law around the display of flags at all that I know about. This instance, as stated, was a case of Washington State displaying flags of dignitary visitors so long as they are on Capitol Grounds, and taken down upon their departure. The insinuation that it came down due to nutcase, er, Tea Party patriot pressure, was laughable.

If you can think of one beside the current one who has endured any of the following, point him out:
1. Questioning citizenship
2. Questioning religious faith
3. Open calls by supposed elected officials to leave town immediately
4. Calls for college grades to be released
5. The sheer number of outright lies being put forth in major media....
yeah, spell that one out for us, please.

No, it's not illegal, as long as the foreign flag is
lower than the American Flag, in other words, not superior to the American Flag. I can't tell if the Chinese flag was lower than our flag in the Washington State case, but I
can be flown as long as it's lower than ours. If the Chinese flag was equal to or higher, these idiots could have requested that the governor
lower it to an inferior position to the American Flag and had a leg to stand on. But instead they stood there like a bunch of little patriot soldiers and demanded that it get taken down altogether. These insecure morons seriously need to get a life. If they want to object to communism, do it towards an appropriate target. How about they start parading around Wall Street with their little Gadsden Flags, where the big corporations have sold out our country to the Chinese.
§175. Position and manner of display
c) No person shall display the flag of the United Nations or any other national or international flag equal, above, or in a position of superior prominence or honor to, or in place of, the flag of the United States at any place within the United States or any Territory or possession thereof.

I said nickpicking, I never implied all of them faced the same ones, and most of those things you mention are really not nitpicking at all, but fall into a completely different category.
And, yea…they have all faced really harsh stuff like those as well…but, not exactly the same ones.
