what regressive gas tax did I mention? If you mean the suggestion that taxing gasoline would be a method to encourage lower usage, sure, it WOULD affect the middle class. Certainly not the poor, who are taking public transportation in most urban areas. However, it is interesting that others have suggested that 'liberal' governmental policies lead to disaster, this is a clear cut case where 'conservative' policies have decimated a state's economy.
