Yep, and the million dollar question is who does the U.S. support as an ally and who does the U.S. want gone forever with a nuclear bomb?

Whoa, settle down. Let's not point out the obvious. We wouldn't want people to challenge people's views on Iran and Saudi Arabia. We need good old American propaganda here.

I personally have no problem with the people of either country, but if you are asking me to decide on the lesser of two evils in regards to the leadership…I would be very pressed to answer that, one way or the other.

Truthfully neither and neither.
But don't let reality interfere with your erection of straw men to swing at.

It's like a liberal whiffle ball team getting all cocky and swinging for the fences and high fiving each other in here!

Well thanks to Obama, they will probably BOTH have nuclear arsenals.

I see one country still has segregation and the other doesn't.

Hopefully the religious police don't catch any of those Iranian women for improper hijab.

I think the photo shows that such do not have the sway in Iranian society that they do in the Saudi Arabian kingdom. Of course, you are an expert on Middle Eastern Islamic culture, so you'd know better, right?

So are you suggesting the level of subjugation of Iranian women under their religious nutbag government is an acceptable level? Where the Saudi's is not?
I think you are highlighting a distinction without any substantive difference.
Yea, women have it so good in Iran....yea, really much better

I think you don't care about the difference other than the domestic american politics aspect of the discussion. Your party's narrative says conservatives are pro Saudi (as if no liberals have cashed in at that pump) and you see that our lefty president has gone soft on Iran so you simply want to fabricate this big 'difference' to prop up your ideological ego.

I prefer Shia Islam over Sunni Islam.

I'd prefer they were both so marginalized that they couldn't even prop up a minor villain in a James Bond movie plot.

Will, I try not to decide what is acceptable in other cultures. Hell, I have problems with folks dictating what is acceptable within my own diverse culture.

You are working on a comedy routine now? Or did you mean to say you "have a problem with other folks dictating...."

Are you trying to say you never have dictated to anyone what is acceptable within our culture?!?

I think that is your biggest whopper yet if you are....

in terms of moral behavior, mode of dress, artistic expression, or the like, no. I might suggest political and economic wrongs, but not the actual cultural definitions or behaviors.

if that is the best you can do, you might need to work harder, after you find your reading glasses.

Cute little dance step. Ginger did it better though, backwards in heels...

except that was a direct restatement of what I said in the first place, Will, and you merely couldn't figure out what the words meant. Keep working at it.

Actually I think the reverse is true though my statement might confuse you.
