How to insult a "progressive"

Of course "Progressive" is in quotes because they are anything BUT truly progressive in a positive and non-hypocritical way that actually promotes human rights, equal rights and true feminism.

The unfortunate connotation is the following:

The "Progressive" is a closed minded racist AND sexist hypocrite. They are far more xenophobic than normal people and try to cover this up by 'protesting too much' in the Shakespearian sense. They also cover up for certain 'protected' groups simply because it is 'racist' to question anything these groups do under any circumstance- even if it means contradicting everything secular progressives ever stood and strived for in the past.

I could only watch about 2/3rd before I got bored. He never defined what a progressive was, but he sure seems to not like them. Also, he's got a couple points wrong, but I'm not sure it really matters to his audience.

I'm sure if the strawman follows the yellow brick road, Oz will give him a brain! Don't tell anyone Oz is projecting.

so, it seems the proper title should have been more like 'How to insult the intelligence of Progressives' or maybe 'how to amuse a Progressive'.
Back to the drawing board in right-wing loony-land.

very true, we don't insult easily. Tolerance for others will do that.

If there's nothing more than partisan shots in this thread next time I visit, I'm throwing it over to "No Holds Barred".

serious question, Foil. After the initial post, do you see some other direction this thread could logically go?

Really Foil? You know that TB started this just to insult progressives and liberals. By the way, liberals and conservatives can be progressives.
Wiki wrote:Progressivism is a broad philosophy based on the Idea of Progress, which asserts that advancement in science, technology, economic development, and social organization are vital to improve the human condition. Progressivism became highly significant during the Age of Enlightenment in Europe, out of the belief that Europe was demonstrating that societies could progress in civility from barbaric conditions to civilization through strengthening the basis of empirical knowledge as the foundation of society.

Doesn't sound so bad to me.

Then we have a law dictionary definition:
Ability to take up criticism and follow up along with mindset that of an activist, and not that of a liberal or a radical.
http://thelawdictionary.org/progressive/

I guess that matches the ability for progressives to take insults. :P
