political wonk observations

Trump v Bush is going to be epic. I just read this morning about Bush's PACs having raised 119 MILLION dollars(this should alarm anyone concerned about money and politics). He has the money to go up versus Trump. Trump, on the other hand is single-handedly destroying the GOP, not only in terms of the 2016 election, but forever. Yesterday, he claimed that he would send Mexico a bill for $100,000 for each illegal alien caught here. Given that Mexico has LONG sought compensation for the US demand for drugs and the effect on Mexico, that should be one hell of a battle of counterclaims in the International courts. If Trump keeps going on, he will kill any Hispanic vote for the GOP, ever. And, given his unfavorable ratings that state, quite clearly, that over 55% of the public says they will NEVER vote for him under any circumstances, his candidacy for 2016 is doomed to failure, however far it gets in the GOP primaries. Thus, Bush has no choice but to empty that war chest to get the nomination, and not be able to carry it into the general(or give it to another candidate).

Watched Fox News pundits this afternoon. Rove and crew are freaking out about Trump's rise in the polls and soaring popularity. They're starting to worry Trump's going to trump all the other Republican candidates. They're really hoping for a Scott Walker rescue when he announces this coming week and that Trump will finally flame out and go away. I don't think Trump is going away so easily however. The white Euro male dominated tea partiers are really riled up now and they see a leader who espouses their views.

Republicans are worrying about him since he even polls above Scott Walker. This is going to be an entertaining election this time.

I'm just hoping the drones don't vote Hillary in.

Since Trump appears to be in the process of wearing out his welcome atop the polls, who do you think will be the next temporary darling in the run up to Jeb's nomination? Walker?

Same here TB. But who would you prefer? Hillary or Sanders? Because Sanders is rising in the polls against Hillary and there are just enough ticked off liberals to get him nominated. Your worst nightmare, someone more socialist than Hillary.
By the way callmeslick, where's Webb? Haven't heard hardly a peep. All I hear about is Sanders and Clinton.

Walker. Fox News is grooming him as the presumptive candidate. He's their union-busting, business-loving darling. They don't like Jeb over at Fox either because they know the name Bush is poison, so what propaganda they dribble out to their
drones will determine the outcome.

The proper word is "Invigorating". To bad the Dems only offer a bowl of cold fish soup.

If you call savaging senior party members and making your entire field and party seem petty, ignorant and small, 'invigorating', so be it. Enjoy. You see, I am looking for GOVERNANCE and COMPETENCE, neither is currently being communicated by the GOP clown-bus.

maybe you should spend some time and listen to them. Four quite different platforms, which I hope get cobbled into one more unified vision.
