Funny thing about this. I was watching "Funniest Home Videos" last night (I was bored, the TV was on and 60 Minutes sucked), and they made an interstitial request to tell people to be sure to take their phone videos horizontally so that the videos they send in to the show would fit on a TV screen properly. It was accompanied by a demonstration on how they wanted phone users to actually hold their phones just in case people didn't get it.

Maybe we can petition Google and Apple to flash a "turn your phone horizontal!" reminder to people when they hit the video record button.
