Since when are the Saudis OK with it. Or is this just another slick post without reading anything.

The Saudis stated quite clearly Thursday morning that they were completely satisfied that this is the best possible deal and confident that it will be effective.

Khamenei is actually correct. We have reached a point in history where starting wars are extremely detrimental to the aggressor. For example, look how Russia's economy has tanked over the last year. The US going to war with any nation would completely unravel the last several years of recovery. We still haven't recovered from wars started over a decade ago.

When Reagan made a deal with Gorbachev, we didn't see a full page ad in Pravda right afterward of Gorbachev being quoted "if you start a war, you will lose" with Reagan holding a gun to his own head.

Kahmenei IS NO Gorbachev. Gorbachev was a decent man that really wanted peace. Kahmenei is a murderous tyrant with religious delusions.

People like slick are willfully blind to the fact that Iran's supreme leader means to destroy America by any means possible and necessary as an end goal. If you're a religious zealot with the firm belief that you'll go to heaven as a reward from god if you kill the infidel- even if it means suiciding yourself and all of your people- you can't be trusted in any bargain with your infidel enemy.

Any dealings you have with the enemy are all deception as part of a greater battle to win the 'war' (and paradise in the afterlife.)

Why in the world should Iran like us anyway?
