no, call me sheltered........never even thought of the whole option, let alone the term for it.

Um, they started using the term first woody. However, they didn't realize there was that particular definition you quoted above when they started using it. They obviously never Googled "Teabagger" or "tea bag someone" before they started using it on all their T-shirts and protest signs like a bunch of fools. NOW it's a slur since they know what it really means and it's stuck. I wonder if the sales of these T-shirts have dropped off since.
