I must admit, I am highly interested in this game, though other games and "ethical" considerations have somehow kept me from ever trying it. But I guess, I can simply skip the "torture civilian prisoners" missions, huh?

I've been playing this game since it came out. Awesome Game. This is what actually took my attention away from D3. I dont Play it as much anymore as i did. But i hear they have a New Version or Patch out with new vehicles and stuff in it. The Game is a Very large file but well worth the time to Download. Plus its Free . Yes Free.

ive been playing since v1.5

and yes, v2.1 has the new Stryker AAV and you can use its M2 .50BMG machine gun.

Its a very good game and lots of fun. Im just getting back into it now that I got more time in the summer.

In the Torcher The Civilians missions, its not all what its cracked out to be, but its still good.

yah just give them a day or so. the 2.1 patch got leaked out on a website before they planned to released it, so they were forced to release it early, before all testing was finished with it.

I've been playing since version 1.2... awsome game!! It's the only ground pounder worth playing, and with each patch, they add new features to improve the realstic gameplay.

actually the SS Has nothing to do with it. USArmy created the game, and funds its operation.

the DEV's and testors were seriously pissed and have announced they are closing in on the numbnut who hosted the patch application. they have no idea how he got it, all testors and DEV's were on NDA restrictions

I got it the other day (5 hour download on ADSL)and was just now able to log in.

I'll be known as TheOleMan if I ever get through basic training.

I mostly play Hospital, typically on the Elite servers (not that I'm 1337, but I prefer playing against those who are). Some other maps I play on a regular basis: Sandstorm, Mountain Pass SE, and Pipeline.

AAO is a pretty cool game. I think the last patch has made some of the SF maps a little buggy though.

My AAO name is [RIP]CplusX2. That game chews up my Radeon 9700 and spits it out, heheh.

Kinda strange, my Radeon 9700, 2 GHz Barton 2800+, 1 GB PC2700 and Asus A7N8X-E has absolutely zero problems with it. Could it be your CPU or something else is bottlenecking you?

It would be pretty cool if the Army released a game allowing you to fly those unmanned Predator drones. Locate Al-Qaeda car, press button...BOOM, problem solved . Flying one of those is a job I wouldn't mind having if I was to go into the military; it's finally a chance to put those gaming skills to use .

to be truely honest, all you really need to know how to do is navigate from a console that uses controls very very very similar to CH Flight Stick products. bubba knows which ones im talking about. that and know how to monitor system guages and warning lights.

but i wanted to go back in that SF E & E with my M82 .50cal sniper and shoot all them guards (for revenge heheheh ) but when I shoot em it crashes... oh well, I can always shoot them nurses up! hrhrhrh

yah for some reason it crashes when ya shoot the SF "opfor" guys, ive asked the DEV's if this can be fixed.

you might want to check the hysteria going on, i swear the Authentication Server Down issue is becoming worse than me posting absolute BS on this forum, in the last 2 days 80% of the topics being posted are focused on that one and only issue. its totaly rediculous.

right about now, 80% of the AA:O Community is probably comitting suicide or tossing computers into the trash because the only life force they have is attached to that game, and since it cant be played currently due to a server problem with authenticating player names and stats........well they have concluded that the entire world is collapsing around them, they forever doomed now.

Wolf on Air, that sounds like a nice system! Mine is not a bad one so I just donâ??t get it.

I have a Dual 1.53 Ghz AMD machine, Asus motherboard A7M266-D, 512 megs PC2100 Ram, ATI Radeon 9700.

I never get higher than 60 fps in descent and only around 18-32 in AA. I probably have a bottle neck somewhere, but I do not know where. Oh well.
