so, a quick GOP debate rundown

1. Far too much time was spent(wasted) on Trump v Cruz. Once it got down to personal insults and shots at NYC, the moderators should have
halted it. But, they let it go on for another 8 minutes, by my count.
2. Lies all around, but it is the campaign season:
Christie says he never supported Sotomeyor, lie. He did, it's public record
Cruz claims Rubio is lying by calling Cruz' tax plan a VAT. He is the one lying, it clearly fits every standard definition.
on and on. Politifact and FactCheck.org have been having a field day.
3. Trump seems a bit jittery about Cruz.
4. Trump DID make his case for being angry. I think he is dead wrong, likely lying about his real assessment and pandering. It's politics.
5. Far too few of them ever addressed the original questions they were asked. Once again, poor moderation let them get away with it, most times.
6. Neil Cavuto has to stop doing bongs during breaks. It's killing his voice, clearly.
7. At least Carson admits he's tempted to just doze off.
8. Kasich sounded reasonable, if you're willing to forget that 6 days ago, he called for an end to paid maternity leave, suggesting that
women could work from home for 10 weeks.
9. 'We need to rebuild our military'....seriously? Who, in the armed services has ever suggested that we need to? We already, despite sequester
spend a massive amount of money. Money that could be used for far more productive projects, or maybe address the national debt.
10. Ah, the debt and especially the deficit. Apparently, no concern, since every tax plan floated last night baloons the debt. No wonder no one really
wished to speak about entitlements.

actually, they had time to expand on matters a bit, with only 7 there, and Ben asleep. Too bad they avoided the actual questions to focus on stump speeches, but that is not a function limited to GOP candidates.

I'm looking to avoid the stupidity all around by just saying "No" to televised political debates/sporting events. Put the BS waders in the closet and let my IQ stay on a steady incline. Let 'em throw their specially formulated fish feed to the rest of the suckers.

You can bury your head if you like ST, but all this nonsense is only going to get worse and those "suckers" you refer to will eventually be responsible for electing one of these morons into office.
