What happened Monday night at the Democratic caucuses was a debacle, period.

kinda out of context, don't you think? I mean, you lead in with some suggestion of intentional misdeeds or such. Just chaos. Part of that is the nature of the Iowa process, part of it is just the raucous randomness of the Dem party. So what? Everyone involved, or observing, accepts that the vote was a close one, and that, given Clinton was up by 50 percentage points 3 months earlier, Sanders performed very well.

And yet it persists. Starting to look a bit like the FA hanging chad fiasco:
Amid growing reports of irregularities in the Iowa Democratic caucuses, Bernie Sanders’s presidential campaign said late Thursday that the state party had rebuffed its initial requests for paper records tallying the votes in each precinct that were used to determine Hillary Clinton’s narrow victory.
