Trump goes full Teleprompter...

Guess there are times when saying whatever comes into his head might not be the best thing in the world when speaking before certain audiences.

overall, I think he did what he had to do fairly well. Sure, he promised not to pander and then proceeded to do just that for a half-hour, ending with the gratuitous nod to the coming grandchild. Still, I have plenty of issues with Donald Trump but today was just pretty standard campaign fare.

Doesn't the use of a teleprompter violate some unwritten Republican rule, the very same rule that Republicans threw at Obama, that only a unauthentic doofus uses a teleprompter? :P

Donald Trump will give all his supporters the biggest case of buyer's remorse, EVER.

not really. He's going to fall short, either at the convention or in the general, and his supporters will go on some sort of rampage on his behalf, whining about 'the people' getting shafted.

Just like Crazy Bernies supporters.

not the rampage types. They'll toss around some tofu and have done with it. Then, they'll vote for Hillary, if she prevails.

Kinda hard to toss tofu when you're getting the ★■◆● kicked out of you by fascist goons, eh?

Aww TG, how sweet of you to confuse a Trump supporter with the real goon that was hired by George Soros to disrupt the Trump rally. You also forget the SEIU goons who knocked the Tea Party supporter to the ground back when Obam was first running. To bad your google glasses are on so tight they are distorting your vision of reality.

more polling out today that is interesting(albeit aware of the shortcomings of polling). First off, Hillary crushes both Cruz and Trump, so Cruz' argument around electability is rather weak. Kasich is a point better than Hillary, for the record, but seemingly few Republicans seem to value that fact very much. Second, was a poll I listened to a report about on NPR, that looked at what numbers of people would NOT vote under certain situations. Around 16% of Dems would sit it out or go third party if Hillary gets the nod, far less if Bernie does. However, 42 percent of Trump supporters claim they will not vote if he isn't nominated, another 12% say they will vote Dem. If Trump does get the nomination, as I recall, 33% of Republicans would either sit out, vote third party and 10% would vote for Hillary. It is a VERY odd year, with a lot of interesting decisions to be made by those who make the decisions.......

Trump is unhinged. He never actually said "no" when asked if he would use nukes against ISIS. He just kind of shifted gears and drove straight into into la la land.

thus far you've produced ZERO hard evidence of any of them throwing, hitting or otherwise threatening ANYONE.

now it seems like Trump and Cruz are in some sort of bizarre contest to see who can make Hillary Clinton most acceptable to the most voters. :o

The Republican Party DID create Trump after all. He embodies everything they desire, and yet, they don't seem to want what he now represents.

Just don't make the mistake of accepting an offer to drink shots every time Trump says "believe me". You'd die of alcohol poisoning.

EDIT: or "deal". You would get a more reasonable number of drinks on standing ovations, though...

I'm just wondering what drinking is being done before getting onto a stage behind mics for some of these people. Now, we have the National Enquirer claiming that Lyin' Ted has had 5 affairs, some very recent, and naming names. This sort of thing is why I gave up asking the question, "can this mess get any worse?" a couple of months back.

more evidence of my position on 'can this get any worse'. When I first heard about THIS, I thought it was merely the suggestion of some wiseass Democrat, enjoying watching the GOP self-destruct. No, the membership of the party is voting for a shootout or mass suicide, apparently:

ISIS terror attack at a convention? are these people stuck in action-movie mode or what?

Hmmm. Back to the Roman times of bloody gladiator sport, only with guns, not swords. Couldn't happen to a better group. Poetic justice too. I'd watch that.

Articles like that are bad for you, Slick. But it is a ridiculous request, because you're surrounded by a wall of people and there is trained security present. I'd like to see concealed carry licenses honored, but even then you'd have to acknowledge you're taking an awfully big risk (unless you mitigate it by other means--bullet-proof stage) that some man will take it upon himself to take this candidate out of the running regardless of the consequences. And that is an age-old risk.

TC, that's wrong. :\

Well, I’m done clicking on links…if I wanted a snotty assed opinion on every subject under the sun…I would form my own.

Gee, Spidey, hate to overwhelm you with an actual news item, with opinion tossed in.
