I'll comment further, hopefully after I manage to get my hands on and read the book itself(likely whilst sitting in the beach chair w. grandson next weekend, waiting for rockfish and flounder to show up).

And this is new news to you? Just what does this have to do with Trump and why would Commie Bernie be any better?

Yea, so of course we all know that congress is a cesspool, so that means we must elect someone president that comes right out of there.
Good reasoning there.

frustration with the status quo explains much of Trump's appeal(the other component being the desire for an authoritarian strongman instead of a President). Bernie comes in because his core suggestion about Citizens United being overturned is at the heart of fixing this situation. However, as the anonymous writer notes, with an electorate which is both clueless and self-absorbed, getting enough folks to actually grasp the nature of the problem and the solutions within our system of governance might be a while coming. A Trump Presidency would likely put a halt to that, due to the fact we'd be lurching from one major crisis to another, and having a clueless executive branch would truly loose the foxes in the henhouse

Well, when Trump decides to release his tax returns to the public, like every other presidential candidate has done in the past, even while being audited (Nixon released his during an audit, so that's another Trump dodge) and
before the election, then we'll know if Trump is part of the crooked cesspool class of this country that we need to NOT vote for.

assume he is, until proven otherwise. Some folks, in a lawsuit a decade or more back, got to see his tax records then, and apparently, he doesn't make much money, have anywhere near the assets, and utilizes a bunch of writeoffs, many including policies he now decries on the stump. He also gives virtually NONE of his own money to charity, although his 'companies' give mightily(and we've learned they are merely vehicles to fleece the smaller investors and enrich the Donald. Bottom line is he'll avoid releasing the taxes to the bitter end, and it's because he's sleazy as hell and the numbers will show to what extent.

I think that the Dems trying to force Sanders to drop out of the race will probably blow up in their faces. Hillary is NOT going to be a shoe in to beat Trump, frankly, and disenfranchising Sander's supporters by telling them Sanders needs to go away will not curry any favors, nor any extra support for Hillary during the general election.

Jon Stewart just put some of the blame on the Democrats for the current rise of Trump. Yet another hit against an insider Democrat like Hillary. Here comes President Trump people.
