interesting poll. Great followup questions. Did you read this:https://www.qu.edu/images/polling/us/us ... wkv93x.pdf?
It gives out the methodology. Part of the numbers that get you excited is that this poll samples Registered voters, is skewed towards cellphones, leaving out some older voters and assumes lower minority turnout than some other polls(by simply breaking down to registereds). Anyhow, no one is unaware that both candidates fail to fire up many people with confidence, and the election comes down to turnout. There is where the Dems are WAY ahead in the game, both logistically and in terms of party unity.

plus, Woody, the more this Brexit thing appears to be a complete clusterfuck, the worse Trump looks:

I can agree if the GOP does not unify at their convention, problems will arise. If the past is any indicator tho, Trump seems to overcome such obstacles. Also who he picks as vp may help.

Why would the CF make Trump look bad? He simply supported the voters who voted in favor...unlike Obama who got bitched slapped after saying how Britain would go to the end of the line. Of course Obama is not running for president so it is all moot.

he literally has tied our election to Brexit in two recent appearances, Woody. As for your prior post, you might be right with the VP pick, but do you see ANYONE really campaigning for that job except for Palin(who, I hope you have the sense to admit, would be an utter disaster)?

I've already posted on this board that Pailin would be a bad choice.

That is the key phrase.

The criminal or the con artist? Which would you choose?

thought you had. Was just reading(source Vanity Fair, if you care to locate the whole article) how exactly ZERO major Republicans have signed up to speak at the convention. Now that can be seen as a plus, mind you.

Ya know slick, if terrorists keep on bombing or shooting in crowded places and killing people around the world, especially in the U.S., fear will take over and every racist xenophobe out there will vote for Trump come November because they'll think he's tougher. We're already seeing the idiot xenophobes vandalizing local businesses that don't look "American" enough. And this particular restaurant owner is a Vietnamese immigrant.

nah, TC, because events like this make Trump go out and say stupid stuff, to the point of being publicly rejected by Republicans. Today he's urging for the violation of International law, committing statutory war crimes and giving orders which military leaders, to a man, have insisted would not be followed.
All Hillary has to do is lay low and let him be stupid and keep hammerinig the airwaves pointing out how dangerous a choice Trump is. I still am pretty confident that we not only have a distinct minority of scared xenophobes in this country, but that a significant majority will be determined to send them a message in November. Time will tell.

What was the old song by Cher....the beat goes on?:

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey of Likely U.S. Voters finds Trump with 43% of the vote, while Clinton earns 39%. Twelve percent (12%) still like another candidate, and five percent (5%) are undecided.

http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_ ... ouse_watch

Kind like TC said, more terrorist acts the more people want Trump. I wonder if the terrorist know they are helping Trump.

Rasmussen called Romney by 3 percent the day before the election. Take that particular poll with a grain of salt.

Finding excuses why a poll is not favorable to Hillary is no good, yet when they are pro Hillary you jump up and down like a sand hill crane during courtship.

I've told you about Dem skewed polls not to believe, in the public realm as well. Your memory is a shade selective, Woody.

True, but a lot stupid people are listening to it and eating it up like candy. Plus, Hillary is universally reviled. She has no redeeming qualities other than she's not a nutcase. That may not cut it come November.

as reviled as Hillary is, the depth and percentages of those despising Trump are actually greater. Not that the reality makes for an inspirational General elections. What is disconcerting to me is that behind the two dubious front persons, the stakes in the election are great, far more than what either of these two bring to the table.
