Slick, can I ask you to ease up on the trump topics? they're coming from you a mile a minute and it's becoming excessive.

apologies, but this week has just been epic, from a political wonk standpoint. At this point, you have a major party candidate for President literally mailing it in.
In the course of today(Thursday), Donald Trump:

1. Told a radio show in the morning that he plans a long vacation after the election. The winner doesn't have that luxury. Ever.
2. Told a bunch of ministers that 'I hope I win'.
3. Misidentified the day of the week(twice) in a Thursday evening rally in Florida, twice babbling about it being a fine Friday night.
4. Got summoned to an emergency meeting with the RNC leadership tomorrow.

this ★■◆● is getting seriously funny.

now that said, I do apologize for what might seem to the sane to be monotonous, but I'm trying to make the point that this should never have been seen as an acceptable, responsible or adult choice for POTUS. I can understand the Clinton slaggers, I really can, but to simply run a complete incompetent, flagrant liar aggreives my sensibilities as an adult American. I've had it, and for the third time here, I'll apologize for the seeming repetition.

perhaps, but eventually, someone will come in and get it locked. I'm really not well focused on forum style matters.

Even better. No one who displays psychology's "Dark Triad" should ever become POTUS, and Trump pretty much fits the bill.

But Hillary is having her own "Freudian slips" these days too. She almost called Trump her husband.

at least Hillary has the good sense not to keep digging from a deep hole:

this was YESTERDAY. Still casting untrue rumors and absolute lies at the Khans? Really? That has worked SO well.

Good grief, what a pontificating egomaniacal blowhard with delusions of Godhood. He's getting desperate and trying to bolster more support from currently his only 2 supporting groups, those lily white, working class males and those Evangelical voters. He ain't going to win if us 19th Amendment people have anything to say about it, OR those 14th Amendment people, err, immigrants, do either. Makes one wonder if he's actually trying to lose on purpose. I can just hear a few Republican leaders smacking their heads against a wall... :P

You get a chance TC, watch his speech in PA and you see how affable and in sync with the crowd he is. Very personable speech. Then compare it to the shrill screeching speeches Hillary gives.

In other words...his followers are all emotion and no brains. A typical Trumptardian.

Well guess what:

When you see it like that- all of Trump's behavior makes sense. He's in it for Hillary. He always was.

talk about the slippery slope. Ironically, it would seem that the GOP platform doesn't uphold any of those 'values', so can we deport those who buy into it, out of concern for the safety of the Republic?

Trump’s plan is to introduce a screening process for prospective immigrants to the U.S., testing their ideological commitment to western values like women’s rights, gay rights, and religious pluralism. It’s a brilliant plan.

who the HELL ever called that idea 'brilliant'?? Applying ideological tests is flat-out Un-American, not to mention that most of Trumps followers couldn't pass the test, and the GOP platform violates the very premises of 'tolerance' he talks about. Hardly brilliant, the idea is a mix of idiotic and dangerous, because there is no agreed upon 'ideology'.

So protecting women’s rights, gay rights, and religious pluralism are idiotic and dangerous ideas? You will say the sky is pink if I say it is blue. Stop being a tool for the Dem. party.

Sounds like trying to protect constitutional values by violating constitutional rights. Brilliant.

Not sure what you are driving at Grendel. Did you realize Carter banned Iranians during the hostage crisis?

Typical slick. Lets call it a lie and everyone will believe it. I posted a link now it is your turn to prove it is a lie.

of course not. Which leaves us to wonder why the GOP platform views them as such.

typical Woody. Parrot the Trump spin and run with it, even though he lies every 3 minutes or so. In this case, Snopes is merely a benign jumping off spot, others can be found that are far more succinct. Carter's actions were standard diplomatic actions in the midst of a clear hostile act, with clearly defined and limited actions on very specific class of persons, and even then, allowing for humanitarian exceptions, such as displacement or famine or sickness, as well as fear of persecution.

by the way, every Iranian I knew stayed here throughout the crisis and thereafter, in most cases. Then again, they were associated with the Shah's side of things. In no way were Iranians 'banned' from the US.
