ok, so she was worked up that folks were burning down black businesses in the inner city. So what? The rest of the family was stressing calm. What is your point? Do you really think there was a serious call to attack 'the suburbs'? No, they edited it so nitwits like you wouldn't focus on the one negative outburst and instead see the overall point.

would you suggest that any sane person should trust, say, Brietbart or Daily Caller, both of whom blow the factcheck sites up with lies, repeated daily?

So selective editing and obfuscation of the entire truth is O.K. as long as it's on your 'side' Slick?

Typical hypocrites.

no, if they had shown the entire thing, the distraught women yelling to 'take it to the suburbs' could have been in legal trouble for incitement. That wouldn't serve her in this time of grief and shock, and further would have added nothing to the story that the family was mainly calling for peace and for no outside agitators. What is served by NOT editing it, other that folks like you having a small part of the whole to cherry pick and say, "look, they're calling for attacks on their suburban(read: white) neighbors, just like I knew they would".

Typical hypocrites.
This is very interesting. Are you wrong now? Or were you wrong then?

So first you're afraid of Muslims, then blacks. What's next, clowns? Spiders? Thunder?

Oof. That's pretty much one of those things that brings us all together against a common foe!

The proper thing to do would have been to not show any of that idiot’s rant, but instead they deliberately edited her angry hatred into a call for peace…and that is not editing for content…that is blatant lying.

But WTF…real life has a liberal bias…right?

I like how they put edited footage with edited footage.

Pretty much everyone in this thread is missing what that woman said. CNN was sloppy, but they were basically on point.

So maybe you could be kind enough to tell up what she “actually” said.

As Ferno pointed out we are comparing two heavily edited snippets of video. The second clip tries to frame the speaker as calling for violence, not peace. But is it really? No. Telling protestors to burn down the suburbs is an empty gesture because that's not how mob riots work and everyone knows it. Are people really going to take buses, trains, and cars to other neighborhoods and set them on fire? No. But phrasing a statement that way allows the speaker to empathize with the audience while directing their anger in a way that stops them from "shitting where they eat." Saying "let's all be friends" isn't going to do anything. Real changes need to be made in this country to combat inequality.

Now, if people did go to the suburbs to riot, that would be a different matter and would require organization and direction, which is the opposite of what happens in mob riots. That's a different audience. Had CNN included the second, edited clip in the story it would have added nothing. This is just another bull★■◆● "gotcha" moment crafted by racists.

Only way that could be done with any kind of plausibility is to find clips of the woman at different times, string them together and hopefully get the whole conversation.

Nobody excused me like that when I said we should nuke the Middle East after 911, knowing full well it was just anger talking. (and not going to happen)

But you are a pro…I have to admit that. (slick's spin control is still better) :P

It's just deductive reasoning.
