...of the arrogance and corruption known as "the Clintons."
Bill Clinton's staff used a decades-old federal government program, originally created to keep former presidents out of the poorhouse, to subsidize his family’s foundation and an associated business, and to support his wife’s private email server, a POLITICO investigation has found.
Taxpayer cash was used to buy IT equipment — including servers — housed at the Clinton Foundation, and also to supplement the pay and benefits of several aides now at the center of the email and cash-for-access scandals dogging Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.

This one tiny sliver of their disregard for others to enrich themselves.

You didn't answer the question.

Looks to me like they went to great lengths document and separate their different functions. I suppose you're also angry that Clinton probably takes a taxpayer funded pension when he's RICH?
But whatever. Carry on.

Well, the Clintons DID claim that they were dead broke as they left the White House.....

When in reality, they weren't.

The Foundation was started in 1997 as Bill's last term was winding down and a bored TiVo bingeing Bill sat there in front of the TV and decided he wanted to create his library in Little Rock.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics ... story.html
It wasn’t quite nothing. There was a Clinton Foundation back then, started in 1997. There were vague plans for future international charity work. But the nonprofit focused mainly on Little Rock, where Clinton was planning a library and a graduate school of public service, and envisioning an urban renaissance for the city that nurtured his political career. So the famously obsessive Clinton obsessed some more about buildings in Little Rock.

you realize, TC that EVERY President has a Presidential Library, and a Foundation for charitable giving, right? Bush hasn't set one up, but perhaps senses the lack of public clamor or interest.
The 'dead broke' comment gets a lot of play, but how I read it at the time was that they were essentially cash poor with no income flow yet set up. There were book deals in the works, but they needed a bit of help to quality(technically) for the mortgage on the Chappaqua house. Yes, it is an example of how 'broke' to affluent people isn't like 'broke' to someone living paycheck to paycheck, but hardly anything terrible or evil.

She said broke, not poor. There is a difference. Anyone can be broke, even multi-billion dollar corporations, it's just that poor people are perpetually so. Anyone who has financial obligations that meet or exceed their revenue streams is broke.

that was my point. They had no liquid cash. His assets and hers were tied up by the financial rules around being President, and beyond his pensions, they had no income stream yet. It wasn't that they weren't affluent, they were cash-poor.

Lets see, at the time the president had a salary of 200k a year plus other expense accounts. Out of that there was no heating or electrical bill, rent was free, travel was free, security was free, food was free. Now tell me, unless you are just fiscally irresponsible, how could you be cash poor at the end of your 8 year term?

Woody is not paying attention. No one used the word 'poor'.

Woodchip was paying attention. You said they had no liquid cash and I asked why not.

because all his assets went into blind trust, Woody, she had no income stream at the time(book deal pending). It wasn't like the pool of available cash wasn't just fine in 3 or 4 months.......she suggested no such ongoing cash issues.

The cash he earned from his presidential salary was not going into a trust and it kept coming after he left office. If all Bill and Hillary can do is live pay check to paycheck, I don't want them anywhere near our tax income for the nation.

Actually, I find that favorable since they will be able to relate to most Americans.
