In other news over 800 children died last year from eating their parents prescription medications. Hope you keep yours locked up when the grand kids are around.

yup, I do. It would be the same excuse, were I to say, I was laying out my Beta Blockers in front of the grandkids, to make sure they are safe
(thank goodness, I don't take anything more dangerous than that, but I accept your principle, Woody).

Guy needs to be charged w/ manslaughter at least. Of the just four basic safe gun handling rules the one that says "Never point your gun at anything you don't wish to destroy" would have prevented this.

(The other three are "Treat every gun as if it's loaded", "Keep your finger out of the trigger guard until you are ready to shoot", and "Be sure of your target and what's behind it")
