Blacks have come a long way

It is now 2016, 50+ years since the freedom marches, Demoncrats like Lester Maddox and George Wallace, sitting at the back of busses and white only drinking fountains. Black, by dint of their hard work and perseverance, broke the chains of segregation and walked down main street with their heads help proud and showed the country they are the equal of any person, no matter the color.

So at the end of 8 years of the country being led by a black president what is no being introduced?:
California State University Los Angeles recently rolled out segregated housing for black students.
Yes ladies and germs, the great liberal progressive protector of blacks wants 50 years to be erased and put blacks back where the college liberals deem they really belong. Segregation seems not to have ever been eradicated like we all thought it was. I'm sure Rev King is applauding this from his grave and Rosa Parks really wanted to sit in the back of the bus. What was the Sony and Cher song? Oh yeah...And the Beat Rolls On.

the message is bull★■◆●. So what if they have a dorm restricted to African American students(by their choice)? My school had such, in 1973-77, some folks chose to live there, others did not. We managed to produce the former Interpol Chief(and former assistant Sec of State) from that intellectual hell, somehow, in the form of an African American from New Jersey(who I'm proud to be a friend of). I'd agree that the fact we still need to provide safe zones for people of color, no matter whether based upon misconceptions or real interactions, in 2016, is sad. I'm a realist, though, and know how much progress in societal integration I've seen in my time on Earth. All in good time. That said, I really am convinced that you couldn't give a rat's ass about all of that.

Oh look, someone with a hangup about black people started a race thread. What a surprise.

Here at Oregon State, we've got a whole dorm that caters just to international students.

had that, too, TC in the seventies. Along with one that was all women, another that was only for Asian students. Somehow, it all worked out without anyone rioting, getting insulted, or receiving a substandard or insular educational experience. You see, you have to LEAVE THE FREAKING DORM to do pretty much anything.
