The Conservative Media Echo Chamber Is Making the Right Intellectually Deaf.

As an aside, I spent almost two weeks listening to (and understanding, almost losing all rational thought in the process) right-wing talk radio. This article pretty much nails it on the head.

The only way to accept that article as factual, is to admit that there is a large left leaning media.

And we all know that is a myth…right.

As has been mentioned before, reality has a left-leaning bias. One major point of the article is that conservative bubble is much smaller than they think and very out of touch with the pulse of the nation, thus Trump (who is not a conservative).

Regarding "left bias" in the media, it's not to hard to imagine why. Stories that sell are stories about hardship and inequality. These stories resonate with a wider audience than the conservative base, which is dominated by comparatively well-off white males, generally speaking.

No, you must be thinking of local news…that crap doesn’t have a political bias…it’s pure sensationalism.

Let me give you one example of a political bias I noticed a few weeks ago on The NewsHour:

For many years every time a white cop shot a black man the coverage was as follows…simplified…

“White cop shoots black man”

When the events happened in Dallas…

“Sniper shoots police”

Notice any difference, I kept watching and kept expecting to hear “ Black man shoots police” but nope.

That is a "political" bias, totally unrelated to "selling" anything.

This headline is actually much more descriptive than what you are proposing because it provides context. Ever taken a journalism class? If you haven't, you should. It might help you understand that not all headlines are propaganda.

Right, because "white cop shoots black man" is not propaganda.

Boy, you really have a knack for missing the crux of the point.

They used the description "black male sniper" on our news. They evens showed his picture, so I saw no bias. You could tell he was black in the videos they released also.

But then, the reverse keeps on happening like a bad penny turning up. A black unarmed motorist in Tulsa having car trouble, gets tasered, then fatally shot, with his hands in the air, by a woman police officer. They even let him bleed out for 2 minutes before calling for medical aide.

All because he looked like a "Bad Dude". I hope the woman gets life in jail 'cause I have to wonder how many good cops will die because of her.
