more GOP playing fast and loose with absentee and mail-in ballots. Yet, Breitbart and the Orange Buffoon persist.

Plus, those Trump sponsored rigged election watchdogs are pretty much doing something illegal as well. By any other name, it's called "racial profiling" and "intimidation".
“Trump said to watch your precincts. I’m going to go, for sure,” Steve Webb told reporters Matt Viser and Tracy Jan. “I’ll look for . . . well, it’s called racial profiling. Mexicans. Syrians. People who can’t speak American.... I’m going to go right up behind them. I’ll do everything legally. I want to see if they are accountable. I’m not going to do anything illegal. I’m going to make them a little bit nervous.”

TC that will, if they do what they claim online, be flagrant violation of Federal Election law. Authorities are already alerted, and they've set up a hotline to have voters send in photos of any individuals attempting to block, harass, or otherwise intimidate voters.

Jeez, I'm glad we have vote by mail in this state. I'd get really pissed off if some poll watcher from either party started gluing himself or herself to me like I'm some kind of traitor while waiting in line to do my civic duty.

that's why it's 5 years in Federal Prison if you get caught doing it.
To the original story, coupled with the NC fire story revelation: I've said on here and elsewhere for YEARS that the GOP has been playing fast and loose with absentee ballots, and now likely with mail-ins, for a decade and a half. Started down in Florida, as does so much fraud, back in 1996, as best as I can trace it. It's become their cheat of choice.
In no way does this imply that I or anyone feels the Dems don't run their own little scams. Despite all this, I can only see maybe 8 local elections and one General where such ruses MAY have affected the outcome for either side.

As with all fraud, people have to get caught red-handed in order to be stopped and prosecuted, in either poll watching cases or absentee ballet handling. Usually the people doing to most complaining about any fraud are the ones most guilty of actually doing it.

who also got jail time, but, truthfully, not the whole 5 year intimidation charge. Some minor 1 year sentence charge, as I recall.
