Another example of ineptness

The Great Orator Obama now has another foreign policy loss. Not only has he completely screwed up the middle east, he now has lost the Philippines:

Beijing (AFP) - Philippines' President Rodrigo Duterte declared his "separation" from longstanding ally the United States in Beijing on Thursday, as he rebalances his country's diplomacy towards China.
"I announce my separation from the United States," he said to applause at a meeting in the Chinese capital.

"Lost"? Good ★■◆●ing riddance. The current president is a nutjob, and if he wants to bite the hand that feeds him, it's no skin off our nose.

Maybe those Asian nations are finally getting fed up with the Europeans and Americans meddling in their affairs, meddling that started way back in the colonial days. By the way, we'd technically already left the Philippines back in 1994 anyway.

However, their present stance is quite a bit different from what it was back 2 years ago in 2014, when they were practically clambering to reopen some of those U.S. Military bases, hoping for an economic boost and help in fighting local Islamic insurgents. I guess that "boost" didn't pan out and once the insurgents were under control, we were no longer needed. And since we've only been back for 2 years, I guess it's not really a military loss for us for leave again. Adios Duterte and thanks but no thanks.

lost them? Duarte has a beef and it goes back to the Bush administration pulling a terrorism suspect (with possible CIA ties) back to the US for 'health emergency' reasons. Duarte, at the time, was the mayor or governor, and was left with a terrorism investigation lacking the key participant(a hotel room blew up because the fellow was making bombs for some reason).
