this recent campaign to impugn Snopes....

I find this one both hilarious yet really a disturbing matter for the sheer willingness to dismiss facts or even reality. Seems there has been some effort put forth over the past couple of months to imply that, somehow, Snopes is not truthful. They post LINKS to the actual news articles about what they look into whenever such can even be located. Is this what 'free discourse' gets you? An assault on actual fact checking or debunking of sheer lies? Wow.

But who is fact checking the fact checkers.

Do they have actual investigative reporters going out and doing the work to fact check, or do they just parse the net for their “facts”.

It is definitely ok to be skeptical of the people who purport they have the facts.

And not to mention, I have seen some reports on Snopes, that I personally believe were mistakes.

well, I've seen them update 3 or 4 over the years, if more facts supporting or refuting something came forth..
