For those of you concerned Trump will be a loose cannon I suggest you listen to his acceptance speech. He is gracious to his opponent and wants only the best for this country. A far cry from how he has been painted. Already I see Putin has sent a message of wanting to work with him (Iran/Reagan anyone?).
More importantly I want to point out how wrong the mainstream pollsters got it wrong. They should all close up shop as it appears most of them were nothing more than rah rah groupies for Hillary. 10 point leads, 13 here in MI and this state hasn't gone for a Rep. president since 1988. How can they be so wrong unless they deliberately cooked the results or they are just grossly incompetent.
Lastly I hope our very own slick does not post here about his inside knowledge of how strong the Paxmachina Democratic organization is. He obviously doesn't know what he is talking about. He wants to talk about fishing I'll gladly listen to him. Politics? He is as clueless as anyone here.
Looking forward I look to Trump grabbing all those pussy's that run Washington and pull their collective heads out of their asses. With the Reb. retaining both House and Senate I am looking for a very interesting next 2 years. I suspect President Trump will use the Bully Pulpit quite effectively.
To the members of this board I will continue to regard you all with the same fondness I have in the past. Life goes on and for some of you, now you know how I felt when Obama got elected. We'll all get thru the next 4 years and here's looking forward to some good debates.

Re: Aftermath
I have a fairly prominent "burn it all down" streak in me, so part of me is... I don't have a word for it... not completely against upending the status quo even with negative downsides? However, I would prefer the instrument of destruction not be a vengeful reality TV star spouting boiler plate right wing talk radio rhetoric with a dubious understanding of existential issues.
I'm really worried about the future, but I already had a very pessimistic view of the future. It's not looking good for someone like me who thinks we should be moving to more liberal policies, but I guess at least now I can go to the store and buy weed.
Also, it sucks that Republicans will be rewarded for the unprecedented obstruction of Obama's Supreme Court nominee. It would be nice if they moved forward on it as an olive branch to a divided country, but that doesn't appear likely at all.
