Pennsylvania State Department says Stein missed recount deadline
Jill Stein has everything she needs to launch a presidential recount. She's got the cash, the grassroots fervor and the spotlight of an adoring media. But there's one thing she needs to overturn Trump's victory: a calendar.
Stein missed Pennsylvania's deadline to file for a voter-initiated recount. That blown deadline is a huge blow for Democrats who have pinned their hopes on recounts in the Keystone State, Michigan and Wisconsin.
"According to Wanda Murren, spokeswoman for the Pennsylvania Department of State," the Philadelphia Inquirer reported Monday, "the deadline for a voter-initiated recount was Monday, Nov. 21."
Even if Stein delays the electoral votes from Wisconsin and Michigan from being added, Trump still has 280 and the democrats' efforts to cast a shadow over the election results will come to nothing.
Millions of dollars down the drain....but at least they are millions that idiot leftists threw away (they're used to wasting money anyway, right?)

Those deadlines are just part of the vast right wing conspiracy.

NS, you sound pretty happy for someone who supposedly hates Trump.
This probably wouldn't have changed things anyway, so it's no skin off our backs. It was only for the joy of seeing a small monkey wrench being tossed into the Trump machinery and watching the sparks fly and blood boil. But I'll bet you dollars to donuts that if Trump was requesting this exact same vote recount if HE'D lost the election this close, he'd be screaming and tweeting; "It's all rigged" or "I demand a recount" or "I'll never concede", no matter what the outcome and number of recounts performed. We'd be hearing nothing but whining and griping from his idiot sycophants and from him, endless Twitter temper tantrums for MONTHS, because Trump is the one who's a thin skinned sore loser. Baby. We now have a 2-year old as our president. He can't even accept the FACT that he LOST the popular vote by over 2 MILLION votes. The last time we got a president who won the electoral college and lost the popular vote was George W. Bush. Now wasn't that just a fine presidency we got out of that clusterf**k of an election. Maybe twice is the charm for all you Republicans.

I'm just glad that the Supreme Court isn't going to be packed with liberals for the next 30 years. (Provided Trump does what he promised- which is yet to be seen.)
And no. I'm not happy Trump is president. I'm just happy Clinton didn't win.

A interesting take on the smartest woman in the room:
How do we know? Because even novice players learn quickly that you always hang on to a “get out of jail free” card. No matter what. You never know when you’re going to need it. And you usually do.
Clinton had such a card… and has managed to recklessly squander it.
The night Clinton lost the presidency, she telephoned Donald Trump to concede. We now know that it was President Obama who persuaded Clinton to make the gracious concession.
Hillary Clinton’s decision to embrace a challenge to Trump’s election is both confounding and inexplicable. Why would she chance angering the very individual who holds her fate in his hands? It’s like an inmate taunting a jailer. You’d have to be obtuse to do it.
So much for what turns out to be a truly ignorant and inept woman. To think some here wanted this stupidity to run our country.

So let's recap here: people are rejoicing over the the lack of an ability to verify the integrity of an election. Y'know, the same election that Trump still delusionally believes he won the popular vote in. So, uh, which is it?
(And no, I don't doubt the results of the election, because your average voter in this country really is that mentally deficient. 'Murica!)

So do tell, how does it feel knowing that good ol' Cheeto-head has already reneged on his promise to "lock her up"? Or the dozen or so other campaign promises he's also managed to renege on?

"Verifying the integrity of an election" is the furthest thing from what Stein and Clinton's intentions are. They are wanting to throw slime over the election of the new president- and enriching themselves in the process.
Honestly I'm not here to argue the intentions involved. Is this at least partially a publicity move on Stein's part? Definitely. And I'm not really sure what Clinton's camp is thinking, because it's just not a good look for her. At the end of the day the act is largely symbolic and as much of a money pit as that lovely hole. But that's not my point. Trump was bitching about voter fraud months before the election actually happened...for ★■◆●'s sake, he's STILL bitching about it after he already won the goddamn election. So now we have a bunch of people essentially calling him on it and saying, "Okay let's take a look at some results," and he proceeds to whine about that too. It's the absolute pinnacle of hypocrisy.
And at the end of the day, this particular election aside, the whole system is massively in need of greater transparency. The fact that I voted on an electronic machine that didn't so much as print out a receipt confirming my choice had registered is pretty goddamn absurd in the "world's greatest democracy."

Yes. Trump is a petty selfish and self-involved fool and a conman...BUT he hasn't gotten anyone killed (yet.)
Hillary may be responsible for thousands of deaths (along with Obama.) Libya, Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Egypt- that smoldering heap of bodies that was the middle east.
The coup and following civil war in Ukraine is also on their hands.
I'm just glad we averted this nightmare:

He hasn't gotten started yet. Give him a chance, because that thin-skinned narcissistic personality disorder will soon get to manifest itself in his policies. You're pontificating Trump's greatness far too soon.

oh, and the original article is apparently more fake news, as the local reporting has it that the petition was accepted, and is being considered by the State Court system or whoever decides validity of claim.
