Hillary won the county by a substantial margin of over 37 points. Apparently the discrepancies were found as result of Jill Stein's recount efforts which began but were subsequently shut down by a federal court. Per Michigan state law, recounts are not allowed to proceed in "unbalanced" precincts where the number of ballots don't tie out to the number of voters. In the city of Detroit alone, 60% of the precincts were found to be "unbalanced" with two-thirds of those having "too many votes."

umm, the reality is that a huge number of precincts were UNDERCOUNTED, in that more people signed the register than cast votes. To the tune of tens of thousands. Here is a decription of WHY the court is now looking at matters:

Ah the smoke screen gambit. In MI we have paper ballots that are optically scanned into a machine. The machines and the paper ballots are maintained by the precincts...not the state. Oh and if you want conspiracy, its a George Soros connected co. that supplies the machines to MI. Maybe instead of a e-ciggy, you should light up a good Cuban stogie.

I've had access to Cuban stogies my whole adult life(not my thing, but....).Still, the reasoning behind stopping a recount sure as hell seems suspicious to me, and apparently your state courts agree.

Aren't they also supplied by a private vendor too? I'm thinking Republican friendly Debold here. I'd Google it, but my internet speed is near zero today because something's broke in the system during this damn ice storm we're currently having and this is the only site I can currently access.

woody clarified the details in Michigan, have no reason to doubt him. That was why I asked, as states vary.
