Nice misleading headline. China has been considering using force to take Taiwan since forever, and the paper only implies that China should make the point stronger, not that it is a new idea.

so, having that issue more front burner, with all else going on is good for the process of Making America Great, how? It's a blunder to have made the phone call. The consequences will, I suspect be far reaching, ESPECIALLY if the administration rejects any sort of broad trade deal with the Asian Pacific region.

and, it was planned well in advance of the call. Protocol. It matters. Trump by all rights should have not taken the call, period. Nothing too slick about the team at BS central it would seem. They had a week to handle the proposed call. They failed. Now, they have a problem. And, they haven't even taken office yet.

I think he took that call on purpose. He WANTED to piss off China. I guess that entails some forethought, but who knows?

still don't have me pegged do you? First, I've not been an 'employee' all my life, and secondly, you said nothing that makes any sense by way of defense. He should not have taken the call, and should have been able to explain(or have his people explain) why the week before when the call was proposed.
