Trump Effect

“Toyota Motor said will build a new plant in Baja, Mexico, to build Corolla cars for U.S. NO WAY! Build plant in U.S. or pay big border tax,” Trump tweeted.
Results?:
Toyota is set to make a $10 billion capital investment in the U.S. over the next five years, Toyota Motor North America chief executive Jim Lentz said during an interview at the Detroit auto show, Reuters reported.
It’s finally happening – Fiat Chrysler just announced plans to invest $1BILLION in Michigan and Ohio plants, adding 2000 jobs. This after Ford said last week that it will expand in Michigan and U.S. instead of building a BILLION dollar plant in Mexico. Thank you Ford & Fiat C!” he tweeted.
So more jobs are piling up and Trump still not President. Don't remember Obama having this impact when first elected or even the second time elected. I do remember Obama being critical of auto execs using their private planes to fly in for meetings. Don't remember him being critical of Princess Nancy using a air force luxury jet for her personal transportation noe being critical of his hollywood friends using theirs.

I'm sure Toyota has put together a 10 Billion dollar investment plan in the 4 days since Trump's tweet.
Just to clarify, are you saying any investment should now be attributed directly to Trump?

or, any jobs? Because he's up to a whopping 4,000(and, we will be charitable and not subtract the 9,000 lost retail jobs in the past few weeks), and not a word out of Woody for years of 150,000 per month hiring under Obama? Smell the reek of hypocrisy, daily.

Why not? The left would of contributed those jobs to Obama if Obama was just elected.

And would you have disputed it?

Lets once again look at a ignorant statement. Retail jobs lost were due to end of Christmas season. And I have commented :
Today, some eight years after the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression as Obama took office, the nation's job market has put nearly six million Americans back to work, as a net gain.
http://www.cnbc.com/2016/07/18/obamas-r ... dents.html
Now divide 6 million by 96 months (8 years x 12) and you get a average of 62,500 jobs per month. What slick and most liberals try to hide is how many have dropped out of the work force. That would be 15 million americans since obama got first elected.
I suggest slick you stop trying to feed BS to a cattle rancher.

And this just in:
Alibaba job boom: Jack Ma chats with Trump about how to create 1 million US jobs over 5 years
Notice the optics and snowball effect. Evermore business will see a new business climate and start investing. What is not shown are all the small business's that are tied to the bigger ones and will be increasing jobs also.

we created that many jobs ANNUALLY under Obama, big ★■◆●ing deal and all TALK.
Oh, and Macy's, Sears and Penney's layoffs had nothing to do with XMas, they were layoffs due to store closings.

And yet with all of the jobs created after the recession, the middle class is still in decline. And the companies that do offer good jobs in manufacturing…nobody wants them or qualifies for them.
And China goes on stealing our trade & military secrets and dumping products, but nobody seems concerned in the White House.

Nope...6 million for the total 8 years.
the first year was a setback due to ongoing fallout from recession. So, 6 million in under 7, a lot more jobs, and far less TALK.

have you read so much as ONE of my recent posts on the current revolution in technology and jobs? You haven't seen anything yet.

find me a link to how no one WANTS them. I know that not enough folks qualify, that is why we have to import technical expertise from abroad.
And China goes on stealing our trade & military secrets and dumping products, but nobody seems concerned in the White House.
you can state this, knowing WHO in the White House or administration? They've been trying to get Congress to address this one for years, but with little success.

this comes to mind, dealing with Woody:
A woman in a hot air balloon realized she was lost. She lowered her altitude and spotted a man in a boat below. She shouted to him:
"Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour ago, but I don't know where I am."
The man consulted his portable GPS and replied, "You're in a hot air balloon, approximately 30 feet above ground elevation of 2,346 feet above sea level. You are at 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north latitude and 100 degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude.
She rolled her eyes and said, "You must be an Obama Democrat.
"I am," replied the man. "How did you know?"
"Well," answered the balloonist, "everything you told me is technically correct. But I have no idea what to do with your information, and I'm still lost. Frankly, you've not been much help to me."
The man smiled and responded, "You must be a Republican."
"I am," replied the balloonist. "How did you know?"
"Well," said the man, "you don't know where you are -- or where you are going. You've risen to where you are , due to a large quantity of hot air. You made a promise you have no idea how to keep, and you expect me to solve your problem. You're in exactly the same position you were in before we met, but somehow, now it's my fault."

Nice parable. Next you'll be speaking in tongues.

And more:
A day before the auto show kicked off, Fiat Chrysler announced a plan to invest $1 billion in two U.S. factories, making it possible for Fiat Chrysler to build Ram heavy-duty pickup trucks in America. The trucks are currently made at a Mexican facility.
The investment will create 2,000 new jobs in Michigan and Ohio, no matter what happens with the heavy-duty trucks.

Hmmm. They're bringing back those jobs, but the pay and benefits now suck compared to those in the past, especially for "certain" job descriptions. The UAW calls it the "two tier job". But hey, they shouldn't gripe. I guess a job is a job for those previously unemployed slaves, even if
the management is bringing home some historically high compensation. I don't hear Trump whining about that ultra sweet higher pay management's been getting,
at the expense of the wage workers.
